What do you prefer, Hard or Soft Tacos?

I prefer soft shell, but like hard shell as well.

Here at the DFAC on taco day they only have hard shells so I haven't had a soft shell taco in the last 6 months.

I eat pretty much whichever texture and style of taco I'm in the mood for at any given moment, but if I have to pick one or the other as a favorite I'd have to go with soft.

I used to be almost strictly a hard taco kinda guy when I was younger, but then I tried some soft taco wraps that were just plain outstanding in texture, flavor and toppings and started to lean more in the direction of preferring soft tacos. It's a close competition and I still love hard tacos (the wider and bigger the better), but soft wraps tend to lose less of their contents and don't break into half a dozen pieces while you're eating them. Hard tacos are the kind of meal or snack where you'd probably be smart to have a plate handy.

Incidentally, the Dorito Taco will help bring peace and unity to our planet if it's handled correctly.

Hard is bullshit. A big bent corn chip.

As long as the tortilla is corn and soft all is good. Don't talk to me about the wheat flour ones or that crap with the spinach in it.

Hard because I like the crunch, but for messier fillings, I go for soft.

My favorite is a sliced grilled steak taco with spicy slaw (found a great recipe in a Rachael Ray book). Works with soft or hard tacos!

I voted hard, because when I make them at home I always use hard taco shells. However, when I go to a good mexican restaurant that has the soft corn tortillas, I will always order those. I hate using flour tortillas with tacos. I have no idea why, they're just fine with burritos, I just don't like them with tacos.

I've never had a Jack-in-the-Box hard taco crumble on me while I'm eating it. They actually taste pretty good, and at 2 for a dollar, you can't beat the price.

There's no Jack-in-the-Box around here, unfortunately. I've heard stories about their cheap grub and how good a lot of it tastes, though. Your opinion: better than Taco Bell or not?

Jack-in-the-Box opened here a couple years ago; they were giving away free tacos for their grand opening. Those things were truly awful.

I've yet to find any fast food tacos and burritos that can come anywhere near my homemade ones. :D

Just my two cents' worth: use shredded mozzarella or pepperjack on tacos instead of cheddar, but that's just my preference and for all I know some of you guys can't stand the two other cheeses. For me, though, the taste is much better when combined with the ground beef, sauces and other ingredients.

I use Quorn grounds in my tacos. They don't quite compare to the beef tacos I used to make, due to a difference in preparation, but they're not bad.

Ground turkey meat is also good inside a hard shell or soft wrap. I don't like it nearly as much as regular ground beef as a filling, but turkey and chicken do make for some very tasty and acceptable taco ingredients if they're prepared just right and have the correct sauces and toppings.
