When applications close improperly or fail do you send error reports?

When Outlook or any application for that matter fails and closes improperly do you send error reports?

I typically do but it seems pointless because the end user never gets feedback on why the app failed.

The point of error reports is that if a trend appears -- the same app crashes for everyone -- the OS designers and/or the app designers may discover the bug. If you have a random crash of an app that typically works reliably, and it does not continue to crash after the random event, then the event is probably ignored. Repeatability is key.

No, because I stopped using Windows six years ago and basically stopped having that problem.:p

At work that's impossible for many of us though. BTW, if you are referring to iOS being a more stable operating system at least on my iPhone it has equaly as many problems closing apps for no given reason and asking the end user to send the error codes.

Yelp fails all the time on my iPad and iPhone.

Yup, and i normally include a hateful message to go with it.
