CNN Story I just saw this on twitter and was completely shocked. Last time I heard about him was that he had checked into rehab but this is just unreal. While the show is not as good as it once was, I did like Finn, and his storyline of becoming a teacher because he was great leading the Glee Club. I really do wonder what Glee will do (Or if they will even address this) but keeping things to real life, just wow. RIP
I'm just stunned right now. I just got a notification from my CNN app. So sad. Edit: While I don't watch Glee, it's sad to hear another celebrity die from drug overdose. He was young and a successful actor. My thoughts are with his family and friends.
Yeah I gave up on glee a long time ago. But I realise it's importance in pop culture and what it's done for introducing many children to the wonders of music and dance. Such a shame. He seemed like a loveable, yet troubled, young man. RIP.
Not a fan but terrible news. I liked some of the songs he sang. Deepest sympathy to family and friends.
My wife watched the first season so I caught the odd episode when it was on. Sad to hear. Considering he and the main chick were (are?) an item I doubt the show will continue.
The show will continue. I'd imagine it's just a case of whether or not Lea Michele does. Wouldn't blame her if she couldn't.
If Lea Michele doesn't continue, than I think the show is dead. She and Monteith really were the show.
It is always sad when a fellow human being, especially one with a promising career, dies from suspected drug abuse. May he find peace. I remember that he also appeared in SG1 and SGA.
Just woke up to this news. Pretty shocked. I'm a big Glee fan and I really liked his character and what they were doing with his story.
I knew he'd had problems with substance abuse, but I never expected to wake up to this news. He was one of my favourite characters on the show back when the show was good, though I don't think any character suffered more from bad writing than Finn did later on, and I came to hate the character. But I hoped to see more good stuff from Cory in the future.
