STID helps ST franchise cross $2 billion

With the last week of Box office, STID has helped the franchise cross $2 billion in adjusted dollars domestically. Overall it's close to the $3billion mark.

Interesting that in 2013 dollars, The Final Frontier is now a $104 million blockbuster. In fact, the only Trek movie UNDER $100 million adjusted (and under it by quite a wide margin) is Nemesis.

BO grosses are important, but Nemesis is a much better movie than STV in every way. Still, it does show the franchise has done very well for itself, even as a niche series for most of it's life.

Yeh TFF has a nice charn n wit to it. Pity about Spock having half brother and centre of galaxy b/s TFF also has one of the best scenes in the entire franchise with McCoy, Spock and Kirk facing their pain as Sybok says especially McCoy ending the life of his dad.

Nemesis was plain AWFUL no redeeming quality at all.
