Just spotted on twitter. Star Trek into darkness will be screened to some of the press in LA tomorrow (Monday) so even before the Sydney premiere we may get the really big Khan spoilers.

Well Legion, all of your Khanstant claims about John Harrison may be vindicated in just a few days.

:p

Time to start avoiding this sub-forum until mid-May!

Not me! Bring on the spoilers, baby!

This ^

Say what you will, spoil me rotten, cause the ride will still be fun when I see it on the big screen.

Yup, basically my thoughts too. In November 1979, I got my hands on the novelization of ST:TMP and read the whole thing in one night. And knowing the whole plot of the film in detail still didn't dampen my enjoyment of the movie one iota.

The rottener it gets, the better I like it. I'll read almost every review I can find before I go in. (And back in 1979, I read the novelization of TMP before seeing the movie, too.)

You "clean and pure" people think you are safe? Come on over to the spoiled side, we've got secrets (and cupcakes -- nice ones, lemon with strawberry frosting or chocolate with vanilla frosting and sprinkles). :p

The last ST movie I refused to spoil myself on was STVI, because of the alleged impact it would have as the "last" adventure of the original crew. The biggest thing was whether or not Kirk would be killed. I was furious at a friend of mine for reading the end of a magazine article, in which it stated Kirk survived the final battle.

Since then, I figure: they're just movie, and the big ride will be fun no matter what. If someone tells me where the really good drops are that make your stomach fall, they're that much better when you know they're about to happen!

The ads for the film even made it look like Kirk got killed because they showed the scene where the changeling in the form of Kirk gets disintegrated by a phaser.

Yup, the wait is killin' me! Maybe I'll watch Trek '09 to stave off the shakes!

This. The only movie that I would have ever been pissed to be spoiled on was the Sixth Sense where we find out Willis character is already dead.

But a Trek film. Who gives a shit.
