6th of June?? 6th of frickin' JUNE?!?!?!

Just did some checking, and over here in the Netherlands, Into Darkness won't come out untill the 6th of June. That's just plain balls.....

It's going to be extra hard to avoid the forums for spoilers then.

I feel bad for you, though that's only a couple of weeks after the US release. And even the Americans have to wait as it gets released in the UK a week before the States.

If I can find a theater in Germany (that doesn't do that silly dubbing into German) that's right across the border, I might just go to Germany. 20 minute drive to cross the border for me.

Mage, if you're able, why not consider a trip to the UK? It's relatively quick and easy to get here from the Netherlands.

Thought about it, but no. If I cross the pond, I want to stay longer then a day or two, and I can't get time off early may.

It premiers April 23 in Australia... sorry guys even living in London isn't enough anymore. To avoid any and all spoilers I will be going off the grid shortly.

People really just need to be thoughtful of what they post and spoiler threads should be clearly labeled until at least July.

Do you have a list of cinemas that could show the movie in English next to Luxembourg?
Nope, sorry. I'm pretty far away from there. Your best chance would probably be to look in the bigger cities, chains like Cinemaxx show some movies in their original language.
Trier does have a Cinemaxx for example but so far it doesn't list a non-dubbed version of into Darkness.

There's also a cinema called "Broadway", they do show undubbed movies, no listing for Star Trek yet and they seem to concentrate on smaller movies. Check for "Originalfassungen".

Someone will let something slip by accident or mention in another thread how such and such a thing is just like what happened with into darkness.

Perhaps a "Haven't seen it yet" discussion thread will be in order? At the very least we'll have "Spoiler" and "Non-spoiler" review threads, like last time.

And hey, I'll still have something to count down after May 9 and 17!

We had "Spoiler" and "non-Spoiler" threads last time for the worldwide promo tour which involved advance screenings of the full movie.

Once the the movie went into general release, however, there was a single Review and Discussion thread for everyone, and those wishing to remain unspoiled simply avoided that thread until after they'd been able to see the movie. We'll have the same kind of grading/review/discussion thread pinned at the top for this time around, but once the movie opens, one should probably operate under the assumption that every thread in the forum is likely to contain spoilers unless explicitly marked (and actively policed) for Spoiler-free discussion.

That maybe so, but when does it go on General Release in Australia? A premiere can in theory occur weeks before the general public gets to see it.

And some spoilers will invariable occur. No matter how careful people are. Though it'll be nice not to be receiving end for once, as this can occur when the rest of the world has to wait after something has come out in the States first. As others have said it might be best to avoid this sub-forum, but even that doesn't always work as some people spoil in the thread title.

TMP was released December 7 1979 Pearl Harbor Day.
STID now being released there June 6 2013 D-Day, fascinating.:vulcan:
