Hey all, exciting times depending on your perspective, anyway, found this photo and wondered if anyone had seen it? I couldn't see it up here so perhaps not.

Those bridge uniforms you can see in the background look very Robau'ish era, is the ship that looks like the Enterprise in the trailers from a previous era that somehow moved forward in time (to be explained in the film)? Is the film dealing with changes to the timeline as a consequence of Nero's actions, a continuing variation on cause and effect?

Maybe it is! Apologies to admins if the link is somehow in violation of the T's and C's so please feel free to modify if I've done it wrong but the photo is very interesting, I guess this is the ship we see Harrison sat in the Captains chair in the first trailer as the dark colours are reflected in this shot.

This picture is from the Empire magazine story. It's been posted in other threads.

Aha, my apologies, the threads are moving so quickly at the moment. That said, there doesn't seem to have been any speculation or conversation around the photo in question, or have a I miserably missed that too?

Pretty much a consensus that it is the bridge of Harrison's ship. Some have speculated the bald guy is the android GATT 2000.

    Welcome aboard.

I'll save you some searching, it was first posted, I believe here http://www.trekbbs.com/showpost.php?p=7865551&postcount=55

Probably worth checking out the whole thread though. It's not outrageously long, yet.

Anyway, love the chrome bridge and I hope speculation this is the bridge of a ship previously captain'ed by Robert April hold true.

Love what I've seen of the bridge. But I'm really hoping its not the prior incarnation of the Enterprise. A bit too fan-wanky, in my opinion.

I like that design...looks like they spent all of STIII's budget on it.

They seem to be wearing the current duty uniform, but in blue with black sleeves, and no undershirt or insignia.

I wonder what the ship is called? Knowing how much JJ Abrams loves his uncle, I wouldn't be suprised if it ws the USS Kelvin NCC-0514-A.

The Kelvin is actually named after Abrams's grandfather. Captain Robau was named after Orci's uncle.

What? Given how much I've gone on about the registry, some facts had seep in.

What were the lens flares named after?

My guess is Abrams must actually see the world with lens flares and leading zeroes. That must be maddening.

I don't know, I've paid decent money to experience the same thing. Then the walls melt.
