Sean Penn's son hurls racist, homophobic slurs

Since when is a man's wife called his "love interest"? Does that make Obama the leading man and Biden the goofy side kick? Its the real world, not a film!!!!

Why wouldn'T there be famous people in a socialist society? There were famous actors, writers, directors and musicians in the socialist countries that existed. My mother was a famous actress in one of them and was still being recognised for years afterwards.
Rich is relative. Obviously, he wouldn't be that rich but it wasn't uncommon for those famous socialist artists to get some material privileges, to have a big house and other stuff.
It might surprise you but there were occasionally adverts in socialism. Obviously, they weren't paid as well as the one Brad Pitt's starring in, to put it mildly.

Then again, he might be talking about the American notion of socialism which encompasses such countries as France and Sweden.
Once again, a person lashes out against socialism without having any idea what socialism even is.

Someone seriously needs to write a Socialism for Dummies book.

They'd just burn it.

You'd look less foolish if you bothered to even Google "Brad Pitt Socialism". He also claims to have been to a socialist country (None even exist in the world today!) where everything is fine.

He says, of people who use inflammatory rhetoric decrying this or that policy as 'socialism': "I guarantee you none of those people have ever been to a socialist country. I've been to a socialist country - we're fine. We're great."

He's clearly saying that the U.S. is fine, not the socialist countries, and that since the U.S. is fine, the talk of socialism can be dismissed as histrionic. So he's actually being highly critical of socialism, albeit implicitly.

None exist in the world today? What does that even mean? The French president, François Hollande, is a member of the French Socialist Party, as is his Prime Minister.

You'd look less foolish if you just thought before you posted. That was, I think, point number 4.

I'm being called foolish by a guy that thinks France is a socialist country. Gotta love the internet.

Please find a quote where I have lashed out against socialism in this thread.

Someone seriously needs to write a Socialism for Dummies book.

Someone seriously needs to write a Basic Reading Comprehension for Dummies book. Hmm, it'd be better as an audio book come to think of it.

So how about that whole Brad Pitt thing? Mirrorball Man may be highly offended by someone who can't even quote properly, using vague obfuscations and hearsay as sound arguments.

See also the utterly vulgar display at the Oscars which saw Michelle Obama present the award for Best Film. What the hell has the president's love interest got to do with cinema? The agenda is there and it is painfully obvious.
Yeah, I'm sure that you made the same argument when Laura Bush made her Oscar appearance too, right?

They aren't all dumb people, but these Hollywood celebrities do seem to wear their political views as one would wear a fashion accessary.

We have to listen to you blather on about your dumb political views here, so why shouldn't he or any other celebrity be able to do the same?

The agenda of using an immensely popular First Lady to promote Hollywood movies? The horror! Why would a die hard capitalist be opposed to that, unless you're secretly a double agent, comrade?

Were you equally disgusted by Laura Bush's appearance in a video at the Oscars several years ago, or was that okay because her "love interest's" agenda aligns more with yours?

I'd lay off the reading comprehension and foolish comments if I were you, since you completely botched the entire premise of your argument about Brad Pitt's alleged socialist advocacy and interpreted his comment in the exact opposite way it was intended.

Also, here are a few quotes and comments from and about Brangelina on objectivism, so that should make you happy, since random out of context quotes mentioning economic and political philosophies are apparently very important to you:

Angelina Jolie: "I just think [Ayn Rand] has a very interesting philosophy...You reevaluate your own life and what's important to you."

Brad Pitt: The Fountainhead "is so dense and complex, it would have to be a six-hour movie."

I wouldn’t have minded if Angelina Jolie was cast as Dagny, since she professes to sympathize with Objectivism–in which case, Brad Pitt might have tagged along as well.

Both Pitt and Jolie are fans of Rand’s work.

Maybe you should get your buddy Notgonna Fukajawa or whatever his name is to tag in and handle the argument from now on, since you kind of suck at it.

WTF? I haven't even posted in this thread or said anything on this topic whatsoever. Why is my screenname being mocked out of nowhere?! Just because of my choice of friends?!

Well next to our beloved homeland, they are ;).

France is not a socialist country.

I have to leave this thread now, as it's just getting embarrassing.
Here's a novel idea, instead of leaving the thread out of "embarrassment", perhaps you could stick around and explain why Mirrorball man is wrong in calling France a socialist country.

Of course the last time you tried that it blew up in your face. No one wants a repeat of the "Extras Incident". So I understand why you might be hesitant.

And yet, just like Beetlejuice, here you are. I didn't even have to say your name correctly or repeat it three times.

Relax, dude, I just forgot how to spell your name and got creative. Besides, I was saying you were the better debater of the two of you.

I never understood, what is so wrong with socialism?

And I'm confused to what socialism has to do with wanting to get fucked by a black guy? I have never met a young homophobe that wasn't based on self hating.
