Ryan asks if Liam went to Sunday school. Of course he didn't. Irish Catholic kids don't go to Sunday school. Shoot him!! He's a cop!!

Really... Funny, they most certainly did when I was growing up. In my neighborhood, kids who didn't go to the Catholic grade school went to both Sunday school as well as Mass.

My kids go to Sunday School, but it's now called Lectionary Based Catechesis. We've been to a few other parishes in the area and they didn't do LBC, so it must be selective.

It's cool. But, yes, here in the United States, Catholic children who do not attend a Catholic school usually go through religious training at their church until Confirmation (usually around 14 years old). Our Parish happens to call it PSR (Parish School of Religion). The classes are on Wednesday evenings and Sunday mornings between masses. My thirteen year-old son, who happens to be an alter boy, loves Castle and found that line hysterically funny.

There have been episodes where the guest star I do recognize turns out not to be the killer, but for the most part, it seems they are.
