I think going through that type of trauma she went through then anyone would have issues.

They aughtta either take her sword away or make sure it's pointed in the right direction at all times.

Crixus is getting restless. Historically, he separated from the main revolt with an army of his own. At least SOME known history is being followed.

Getting pretty tense in the Spartacus camp. My historical ignorance has kept me somewhat spoiler-free. :) Do the history books say anything about Caesar going into deep cover?

I love Gannicus, that guy somehow always seems like he's above everything. I think that great smirk has something to do with it.

On a tangential note, that DaVinci's Demons looks like a fun show to follow this one with.

They need some tighter sword control laws. Of course, if they did background checks no one in this series would be armed...

Nope. There's no historical record of Caesar even taking part in the 3rd Servile War.

I'm wondering if they're testing the waters for a back door pilot to 'Caesar: Blood And Boobs'.

Actually, yes, they ARE talking about a "Young Caesar" series. Though nothing about the Caesar I see in this series makes me want to see it.

I actually like Karl Urban's portrayal of Julius Caesar on Xena Warrior Princess.

Yes and no for me. Sometimes he was okay, sometimes I thought he was terrible. Especially his last lines before his assassination - sounded like he was reading them cold or something.

I liked him as cupid, though. :D

    :wtf:

I can't believe they actually went there. This show has balls. But we already knew that.
Still, I wonder what historical Caesar would say to this.

Really good episode what with the rape of Caeser :wtf: and the ridiculously over the top final battle with Crixus's forces and the Romans.

I thought the music and direction were a bit off in this last episode. Some of the music with Crixus was downright schmaltzy.

And we've seen they aren't shy on nudity so I would wrapped some of my clothes around my feet in the snow and ice! brrrrrrrrrr

I think they really picked up the creativity with that last one. It's been kind of stagnant, IMHO, for a while.

Historical note: Crixus never got anywhere near Rome. He and his army was wiped out on the opposite side of the peninsula, and Crassus wasn't involved.

My fortune teller who can also commune with the dearly departed assured me that Caesar totally took it up the Hershey Highway for realz. So no complaints about historical accuracy here.
