Iron Man 3 Discussion/Photos/ETC.

I like it myself. I think it's worth keeping in mind that he is probably going to be a modern terrorist, or at least act like a modern terrorist and if that is the case then what we see here would fit that.

This:
By no means am I a fanboy.

directly contradicts this:
Have loved IM for as long as I can remember. Have every issue including the terrible teen Tony years. The Mandarin has always been THE bad guy for me, the one easiest to make a simple and easy translation to film. A regal character, exuding power, control, and terror by his simple presence. Now I see a common man in camo pants with an ill kept beard. As perfectly as they captured Tony to film, they have let me down so much with the poor translation of the villains.

Two things. One, did you see him in the trailer? I would suggest that clips of footage should give a better picture of what he's like than a staged movie poster.

Two, I think the word boycott was ill-chosen and is the predominant reason there's been a negative response to your comment. If you said you were hesitant to see the movie or skipping the movie because you think it'll be bad, that would be one thing. Boycott carries a connotation of protest and a one-man protest is a bit much over camo pants.

Unconfirmed concept arts.

Deep space armor. Already a MUGG toy of it and build-a-figure toy.

Unconfirmed Hulkbuster

Hunched over design like Hulk was in some scenes in "The Avengers"

Really like the space armor, hulkbuster not so much. Why build an armor with an easily hit target in the front.

The poster is really cool. All the easter eggs as mentioned. The apparent Fin Fang Foom tie in is the one that first caught my eye. The UN helmet. It wasn't till a few hours about the net with so much bitching about the glasses someone, somewhere goes, "Guys....they are Tony's glasses". There was this big DOH feeling as people couldn't believe they had missed that connection. It's another trophy saying PAWNED.

I can't wait for the film more than ever. I only worry my expectations might be nearing too high.

The camo pants and sunglasses and the dogtags and the UN helmet make him look like the Asian version of an African warlord.

I can't remember where I saw it, but there is a different version of the image where you can see his feet, and one of them is resting on an Iron Man helmet.
