    Next week...

    Astonishing X-Men #59
    Avengers Arena #5
    Avenging Spider-Man #17
    Deadpool Killustrated #2
    FF #4
    Gambit #9
    Guardians of the Galaxy #0.1
    Hawkeye #8
    Journey Into Mystery #649
    Marvel Universe Ultimate Spider-Man #11
    Punisher War Zone #5
    Thunderbolts #5
    Ultimate Comics X-Men #23
    Uncanny Avengers #4
    Uncanny X-Men #2
    Uncanny X-Force #2
    X-Men Legacy #6
    X-Treme X-Men #11
    Young Avengers #2

My pulls-- FF, Hawkeye, Uncanny Avengers, Uncanny X-Men and Young Avengers.

Some quick thoughts on this week's purchases--

Indestructible Hulk #4-- Green skinned Hulk vs Blue skinned Attuma on the ocean's floor, with Lemurian sea-monsters thrown in for good measure. Fun stuff and Mark Waid continues to deliver. First two-parter of the series. I like that Marvel seems to be doing more done-in-one and shorter arcs since Marvel Now! started.

Savage Wolverine 2-- This is actually refreshing. After so much of Wolverine being shown as an invincible fighting machine that can't be harmed, it's nice to see him actually injured and vulnerable to harm. Of course, it gave Shanna a moment to shine in pulling his ass out of the fire long enough for his healing factor to kick in. Amadeus Cho arrived on the island in the same manner as Wolverine and within moments has the natives worshipping him as a God. Figures. This is another fun book, although the story didn't really progress much outside of the introduction of Cho to the mix, I enjoyed muchly.

Avengers 6-- The origin of Captain Universe, Doctor Spider-Ock raids the fridge, and... The White Event. Another good read from Jonathon Hickman. He continues to put his pieces on the board, and I get the feeling that things are about to get good.

Daredevil 23-- Foggy gets some bad news. Also, someone is trying to recreate the accident that gave Matt his powers by exposing transients to the same toxin that blinded Matt. This issue would be a good jumping on point for anyone thinking of picking up this title.

its pretty awful. its like something you would expect him to wear in an alternate universe or something. its that absurd.

It know they're supposed to be the more militant team, but the whole Uncanny team look like a bunch of super-villains. It's kinda off-putting.

Aren't still the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants with delusion of grandeur still. Becuase if they are they probably look that way becuase they kind-of ARE super-villains.

It's better than his Dark Phoenix costume IMO.

Maybe it's just because I was out of Marvel for so long, but to me: Cyclops, Emma, Magik, those are all good guys! X-Men! I know that a lot has happened to shift this, but to see these characters acting and dressing like villains, while in the book titled Uncanny X-Men (you know, THE X-men book) it just doesn't feel like something I want to read.

Thor: God of Thunder is awesome, so was Daredevil which I've picked back up, and Captain Marvel is finally back on track now...not liking the art though.

They have been steering Cyclops towards villainy ever since Messiah Complex. As Morrison says, Cyclops is just Norman Bates without the serial killing.

I don't know about anyone else...but I really enjoyed "Nova #1". I thought it was a solid first issue. Maybe a sign of the old Jeph Loeb? The Ed McGuiness art is terrific as well.

I tend to avoid Jeph Loeb's stuff these days. He's fallen far from the guy who wrote Long Halloween. It's nice to hear that maybe he's bouncing back. Nova has always seemed like a poor man's Green Lantern to me, though, and I've never had much interest in the character.

I never would have guessed Loeb wrote Nova #1, it actually had a heartfelt character story! Also, there wasn't a mysterious murder in the opening scene!

And the only good Cyclops uniform is the Jim Lee 1990s uniform :p

I'm a Nova fan so I had to check this out...I miss Richard Rider, but Sam Alexander seems interesting and for once Loeb has made me care about characters he's writing again.

I might check out Nova if it's supposed to be good, though it really annoys me we have another Jeph Loeb character named Sam.

the Sam Alexander/Nova character in Ultimate Spidey is beyond annoying. i picked up Nova #1 cause i love Marvel cosmic stuffs. i expected it to be more of the same Loeb garbage but like i said, it was pretty good.

Well I didn't like like Nova.

It reminded me of Spider-Girl less the whimsy.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

I have all 25 issues of the original Richard Rider series (as well as the issue of Fantastic Four that tied up the book's plotlines). I would have liked to have picked this up, but decided against because, well, I need to trim books from my budget, not the reverse. It's the same reason that I elected not to buy Guardians of the Galaxy on a monthly basis. Although, as I know that GotG will be crossing over into All-New X-Men and the Infinity event, I imagine I might pick up a few issues down the line.

FYI, his son's name is Sam Alexander Loeb. It's a tribute like Stargirl in DC Comics is suppose to be an analogue to Geoff Johns sister.
