Spartacus War of the Damned Season 3/"last".

Manu Bennett is the White Orc Azog in The Hobbit. Like Gollum, they used motion capture to create the CGI.
Nope, mo-cap and "performance capture" are not the same thing. WETA was using the latter.

But never mind. Season premiere was really fantastic. I wonder if they're making the character of Crassus likable to soften the blow for the viewers when Spartacus and his fellow mutineers get obliterated in the end... The story of Spartacus is definitely not a "good shall prevail" kind of story.

One downside of this show is that I now feel a shortage of bath maidens in my life. Then again, this show also makes me feel I need to hit the gym (which with luck will help my slim chances with the former).

Interesting take on ceaser. Looks aside not the type of personality I was expecting. I thought they might have given that personality to Pompey but i am interested to see how it works with ceaser.

And there was nothing to suggest that he wasn't like that when he was younger! This was a really good episode much better than the opener which at time felt a little over the top with the death's and carnage.

He might have been arrogant but I doubt he was into knife play. :alienblush:

Arrogant? Sure, why not. The problem is, this guy is an ill-tempered savage brute.

Seeing how Ceaser acted towards fellow Romans all the way to his death I would thought that would show a little bit in his introduction. Perhaps he will be influenced by Crassius as he takes on Spartacus.

What WAS going on with that knife down there?
Apparently I'm not as sophistiocated (or kinky?) as I thought!

This last episode was mostly crap, but the final act was beyond epic. Now I'm really anxious to see how the battle of Siler River turns out.

BTW, Caesar is still a douche. I hope he gets his shit together.

I agree I don't like Naevia this season, "Have you lost mind", I will be surprised if she survives to the end of the season.
