There are a lot of shows I miss, but this is probably the one I remember most fondly:

Even though it had the perfect ending I still would have wanted it to carry on...

Awesome entries everyone! I'm going to have a hard time voting! (and setting up the poll...but I will get there!)

Still one day for more entries!

Not on par with the quality of most of the entries I see here -but definitely a show I miss:

I liked this one, too, despite the preposterous premise that the moon could be blown out of its orbit and go galavanting around the galaxy.

Well, it could -but not not in the way they did it in the show...

And even back when it was first on, and I was nothing but a kid, I did wonder just how they got from being torn away from the Earth and to achieve, what to us kids looked A LOT like, warp drive. I mean; they got very far away very fast and were challenged almost weekly by new civilizations and whatnot :rommie:

I actually made an avatar that looked quite nice, but once I tweaked it to my liking it was too big:

Ohhh...I loved Space:1999 when I was a kid! I have always kind of wanted to do a re-watch, but Hubby suggested that it might be best to keep my warm memories "unsullied" by the reality of viewing it with adult eyes!

I'll be attempting to put the poll up tomorrow night, so this will be the last call for entries!

Obviously hairstyles, wardrobe, and lack of CGI does age it a bit.
But it's not as if it's aged badly; the stories, which always carried the show, are still good -even if beige boots with zippers :wtf: and plateau-soles :scream: look ridiculous :p

That's good to know. I'm sure I can handle the 70's "issues"! My husband, on the other hand...probably not so much! I'll have to find a way to claim some TV time, perhaps while he plays his video games...

Actually, I would think that one of the gas giants would have captured the moon first.

Quick update...made my first attempt at consolidating entries and my computer logged me out before I finished. Will try again after dinner.

Does 4 votes sound reasonable for 13 entries?

    Cheers!

OK, I need some help...I don't see the "post a poll" option anywhere when I copy the above and past it into the "post new thread" area.

When I scroll down all I see is the "preview post", "submit reply" and "posting rules" buttons. Nothing about creating a poll...

    <sigh> I fail at computers.

    Suggestions?

Disregard the above! I found it. It looks horrible...but the voting poll is up.

Sorry about the aesthetics, but at least I learned a couple of things along the way!
