Arnold Schwarzenegger - The Last Stand

I showed a friend this on IMDB over the weekend. He had no idea it was forth coming and he liked what he saw. He doesn't stalk news outlets so it had glossed him by. He's one of those film goers that unless I tell him of something I think he'll have interest he's not likely to hear about unless he sees a TV ad the week before.

I do like the line: "I'm the sheriff"

There's also a prison movie in the works starring Stallone and Schwarzenegger. (I don't know what it means that I can spell that off the top of my head without looking it up or needing spell-check which DOES recognize a misspelling of it.)

^But it's a prison that he designed, which comes straight from Prison Break.
I don't think that's new either. Wasn't there a Robert Redford film where he has to break out of his own prison?

No I don't think so - you are either thinking of Brubaker where he was the Governor and enters the prison as an inmate to see what conditions are like or The Last Castle where he is an inmate in a military prison who takes it over.

I think in Brubaker, Redford was the Warden, not the Governor.

He didn't design it. Stallone plays a break out artist who gets put in prisons, breaks out of them, then reports on the flaws. The prison that he is currently in is designed off of his notes. So in a way you could say he designed it, but only indirectly.

Anyways, Stallone and Schawrzenegger in a movie together? Hell yes I'm there!

^Close enough though. I mean, fair enough, he doesn't tattoo the designs all over his body either, but it's certainly reminiscent, IMHO.

Yeah the Camaro looks out of place. But look at the height of "Arnold" there, his shoulder width, the size of his head, how the neck attaches to the torso. It looks.. odd. Like Arnold's head was poorly Photoshopped onto someone else's body.

Yeah, the poster would have been much better if they had just left that out. It's a pointless distraction that completely breaks up the atmosphere of the shot. Somehow I doubt his car is going to be a central focus of the film anyway.

Oh, for all we know it's a wacky sidekick car that always making snarky comments about the goings on.

Then again he could be standing on a slight rise as the cars wheels seem cut off a bit?
looks like it might be a fun one to watch on a Cheep movie Night.
