Well I just got the T5 Romulan rewards as well, 32k dil, 40k ec, 750 Romulan Marks and an Accolade + Title, Friend of New Romulus.

Just started playing this again with a friend (level 11 at mo) and I had the mission stop the gorn advance but I can't enter the Argelius system? I get no prompt asking me to enter it...

Any idea why?

Its possible you're at the wrong system. According to STO wiki, the only mission involving Argelius System is to pick up a passenger for Treasure Trading Station.

Perhaps if you can tell us the name of the mission you are currently on, we can point you in the right direction.

I'v dropped it now though might return to it, what do you get if you have a paid sub? do you think its worth it compared to the F2P model.

It really depends on how long you think you'll enjoy playing STO. This is the advice I give everyone who ask me this question: For STO, a monthly paid sub isn't really worth its cost. If you really want to pay, there are two good options.

1) Pay for One Month - It is just a single payment of $15 and in exchange you permanently unlock all Gold Subscriber benefits including larger bank and inventory slots, an account-wide bank shared across all your characters, more bridge officer and ship slots.

2) Pay for Lifetime - Its a huge sum of money, but very well worth it if you know STO is the game that you enjoy so much that you want to play on a regular basis for at least the next 2-3 years. In return you not only get all the Gold Subscriber benefits, you also immediately get ALL Veteran Rewards from the moment you pay Cryptic.

Btw if you choose this option, know that Cryptic routinely offer lifetime subscription at a discounted price twice a year. That's the best time to purchase your lifetime subscription.

I agree with Intrinsical.

You can pick up the game client for cheap. I've bought the basic one for $3, the collectors edition for $8. Install it and it will give you 30 days of subscriber status. Installing both will give you 60 days. Then if you decide to go back to F2P, at least you have the bonus items and expanded options.

If you're going to buy a lifetime, wait until the price hits $249 or better, $199. The main advantage of the lifetime sub is the monthly stipend of 500 zen. If you're patient, you'll never have to buy zen again for the items you want.

I'm here to tell you that the Breen Chel Grett is a very nice ship.

This is the Silchas Ruin, the ship from which my Gorn engineer, Icarium, engages in his separatist actvities.

Running disruptor cannons on it right now, but I'm toying with the idea of a plasma weapon build.

Yes, its a good ship. I am in the process of equipping mine with Breen Set, Omega Adapted Borg Set, Romulan Singularity Harness Set and 2 Rapid Fire Transphasics. Its going to be a really sick torpedo boat.

One of those Breen ships saved my ass in a Borg encounter, very powerful. I have another question about the paid sub model, how much ZEN do you get per month in that model? Also can I just say the Zen thng is stupid, I wish the store was just real money micro payments and not buy Zen with real money and Zen to buy stuff.

Well, my main (Thalia) has added the USS Niflheim to her fleet:

And, quite frankly, I'm slightly dissapointed at the performance, though this is only a single parse (ISE):

6538 TDPS.
That's just about what I averaged with the Hermes-F (though I had one freak 8k occurence back in S5); which doesn't add up: this thing has one more Turret.

Don't get me wrong, the same DPS as the Hermes with more survivability (more Hull, potential for a 3rd Field Gen) and much better versatility (Gravity Well!) is nothing to scoff at, but on paper it should be slightly stronger.
On the other hand, the Speed is a good surprise: although it's supposed to be slower than other Escorts, the +5 Engine Power does help mitigate some of the Impulse Mod loss; in fact, I wonder if it's not faster!
I'll have to check (for future reference: 31 Impulse @57/25 Engine Power).

I haven't been able to login the last few days. The launcher never connects with the server. Anyone else experiencing problems?

^^That's funny, i tried to log in today for the first time in about two months and got some duplicate log in name error and dropped back to the launcher......have no idea what's wrong.

I've had problems too. Though, in my case it seems to be related to Steam, which is odd because I had the game long before I ever downloaded Steam. STO just magically appeared in my Steam library one day.

My problems over the past couple days seems to be a combo of lag, bumping into invisible walls, or having the character 'bounce back' (or just get pushed back a few feet in a random direction) when running. failed a couple PVP races because i just suddenly went backwards out of bounds. Seeing it on regular missions, in spacedock, winter event, etc. something on the server is broken...

This was just posted by Cryptic: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=7401771

Hello Captains!

I'm excited to announce that we are going to be working with Denise Crosby on a TOP SECRET assignment. I'm going to try and get some of your Star Trek/ Tasha/ Sela questions answered, so... have a question for Denise Crosby? Leave them in this thread and I'll try and get them answered and posted in the not too distant future.

Cheers,

Brandon =/\=

I guess she's going to be doing voiceovers for either Tasha or Sela soon.
