Flashbacks to Fringe's best episode.

No wonder Walter's crazy he's like Emilio Lizardo.

I hope that book didn't contain his plan.

The next glyph is T.

It's GUILT.

I think this is the first ep this season that I didn't give a 'Very Good' to. I went with 'Good' this time. Kinda lacking a bit, but once again, John Noble made it all worthwhile.

Well folks, it was fun, as always. Ep 10 is next week, then I think we have a one week break in there before we get the last single show and the two-hour finale.

I think.

See you all next week, same Fringe time, same Fringe station.

Great Walter-centric episode. I love how Walter's LSD trip went from goofy to heartbreaking to downright chilling. I deeply fear for him by the end of the episode.

I'm glad Peter is back to his old self and that he is relying on Olivia as an emotional anchor. I hope no more bad things happen to them. They've been through enough with their daughter's disappearance, their separation, their daughter's death, and Peter's Observer near-conversion.

I love that the show hasn't forgotten the consequences of the alternate timeline storyline and now that the Fringe gang finally have the Observer boy, we may be on our way to the beginning of the final epic fight aganist the Observers.

My theory about Donald: Donald is really September. September somehow turned himself into a normal human being which he has used to conceal him from the other Observers.

So this season the glyphs seem to relate to the current episode.

Ha! I loved the Python-esque animation. That was awesome. And dead-lab-assistant was uber-creepy.

My DVR freaked out and didn't record it. Razum. Frazum. I'll just have wait 'till it's available on VOD. :scream:

After next week the next new episode is January 11th. Dang, 4 more Fringe episodes, three more Fringe Fridays and that's all she wrote.

Re: Fringe 5x09 - "Black Blotter" (Commentary, Discussion & Spoilers!

So is the other Walter Walternate?
No. As was driven into the ground this episode, it was the Walter he was and to whom he's slowly becoming once again. Or at least who he's afraid of becoming again anyway.

Which, essentially, is Walternate in theory. But never having had his brain tinkered with is only one aspect of Walternate. It was his obsession with recovering Peter from Walter's universe that really drove the two down separate paths.
