    Punisher War Zone #2
    Red She-Hulk #60

I'll decided on Thunderbolts #1 on the spot. I feel like trade waiting for it but really like Red Hulk,Punisher and Elektra, the rest don't excite me and the concept of Hulk with a essentially a wetworks team seems....odd, even in a universe of oddities. If I knew for certain who else might be in the book I might commit.

While not as jawdropping as Amazing Spider-Man #698, issue #699 was enjoyable. I particularly like a scene that involves the Lizard.

I think we also know who the Superior Spider-Man is.

    Don't click this.

It's Paste-Pot Pete. When he showed up and announced his name, I went, "Oh. That makes perfect sense."

    So a "bigger" Avengers is
another 12 guys? All of who are mostly tangentially on the reserve lists anyways?

It was a nice story Hickman, but you and I don't agree the definition of the world "bigger".

Avengers #1 was cool and really built up a sense of drama and threat in so short a space... but personally I prefer pre-existing famous villains when it comes to the A-List Avengers.

We've known for quite some time that Hickman's Avengers lineup was going to be 18 members. House of UIster revealed the roster last week I believe, also the roster is not just the only thing that he plans to do "bigger".

Should I be ashamed that I have no idea who half the people on the last page of Avengers are?

A lot of them are new characters.

There is also six more characters set to join, they are the six missing spots in the diagram in the comic.

So we're going to have a massive team roster with many of them being new characters? I get the feeling this is going to get cumbersome very fast.

It's a rotating cast since they are divided into sub-teams.

I like to compare this to "Justice League Unlimited" in terms of the escalation of the team.

I absolutely loved Amazing Spider-Man #699. This is unfolding beautifully.

I was surprised at how ASM 699 ended, it felt like the story was just starting and it just kinda ended abruptly. Is ASM 700 going to be a super sized issue?

I tried Thunderbolts #1 but I won't bother going to the next issue. By not giving the slightest hint to what the storyline is going to be about, I'm not hooked at all.

Amazing Spider-Man #700 is extra sized indeed. 104 pages I believe.

Avengers 1 was entertaining. Strong start for Hickman.

All-New X-Men 3-- Oh my. Last issue was so good. What happened here? If this is a preview for what the new Uncanny will be like, I just might opt out. As with the first issue, not nearly enough time spent (as in virtually none) with the O5.

Iron Man 3-- As with the first two issues-- just OK. Gillen has said that unlike his Uncanny X-Men and Journey into Mystery runs, where he knew exactly how they were going to end before writing word one, he has no idea where his Iron Man run will take him. For that reason, I am willing to stick with his Iron Man until he finds his direction, but he needs to find it soon.

Hawkeye 5 was a lot of fun. Quite possibly my new favorite book.

Re: Marvel Now/ReEvolution Ongoing Discussion (Spoilers)

    104 real pages?

Or 30 pages of new material and 64 pages of classic reprints?

There was a point in the Avengers during the 80s (near issue #200) when after a team up to stop something huge, most of the reserve Avengers and friends of the team didn't wander off so quickly and we were looking at a team of 20 Avengers, but Henry Peter Gyrich stormed into the mansion screaming about limitations of arms and that they had to cut the team down to 6 members so that the local government wouldn't get the willies about a coup d'etat. He also stopped the Quinjets from leaving from the middle of the city because they were giving the pigeons panic attacks.

    When beast dies.

    very soon.

    When beast dies.

Henry Peter Gyrich is going to piss on his grave.

"Bigot? I'm not a bigot! I despise this man intimately for who he was a human being. So I'll just shake the weasel and be off."

I have no idea, but there are multiple creators on the book. There is the conclusion to "Dying Wish" and I assume set up for "Superior Spider-Man" and then back up stories and stuff. Not sure if there will be any classic reprints.

So of Marvel Now! I've picked up:

ALL NEW X-MEN - Surprisingly good. I haven't enjoyed anything from Bendis this much since the first couple of years of ULTIMATE SPIDER-MAN (Vol 1). A keeper for now.

IRON MAN - Trust Gilliem so keeping.

INDESTRUCTIBLE HULK - Easily the best of the bunch. Keeping.

THOR - Just realized today that I stopped in the middle of issue #2 and never went back to finish. Don't like the art. Don't care about the story. Dropped.

UNCANNY AVENGERS - Enjoying so far. I like crazy super-villain Red Skull. Keeping for now.

AVENGERS - Nothing in the first issue made me want to keep reading. Dropped.

CAPTAIN AMERICA - Enjoying the tone shift toward crazy Sci-fi/fantasy. Keeping for now.

Gillen clearly hasn't read up on the Extremis related material and his knowledge of human biology and science is close to medieval. This plus Land's artwork and Bendis's backseat plotting undermines much of the entire book.

OK, I'll bite. What "backseat plotting" by Bendis?

The entire arc is suppose to lead into him going into space and joining the GotG, something, which Bendis had been setting up as far back as AvsX.
