I remember years ago the world was full of Troi fans. The Imzadi brigade.

Did they all die?

My FAVORITE Troi scene was Captain Jellico asking if her rank was honorary... and ordering her to wear a proper uniform!

Every time Spiner does one of his "funny" voices I want to run and hide, it really makes me feel embarrassed. Also annoyed.

I have to agree with you on that one. Something about that voice was always cringe-worthy.

I sometimes think of it as under-acting. He just kinda stands there reciting his lines with perfect diction like he's in a lecture hall.

I must be inexperienced too then. I didn't know the was meant to express sarcasm. Around here, it's usually used to express annoyance.

If you are on a laptop/PC, rolling over a smiley with your mouse will show the "name/emotion". That may help in the future. It took me a while to figure it out, too.
