Choose the Enterprise Blu-Ray Cover Art!

I'd avoid the first option like the plague. Uninspired. Recycled publicity shots.

Yeah, and who's that guy on the top of the S2 pic? :p

I like the characters, metallic look and color scheme...the others two covers do not immediately convey what the show is to interested but casual consumers.

^ Reminds me of the DVD packaging we got here in the UK. Just not as good.

I don't know why they can't combine the best thing about Option 3 (the patch - they're calling it a shield because it's metallic I suppose)... with Option 1's decision for everybody getting character portraits.

Instead of only Scott Bakula, presumably on every cover... I'm sure they could squeeze two faces into that left hand space, alongside the shield, for the other seasons.

How about MU for S4 box cover? That will really fuck with first-time buyer's head :)

I'm not even going to pretend I have the skills frankly.

But if you can imagine starfield fades and blends around the characters, perhaps something like this to make Option 3 better.

It should be possible to cover a pair of crew members, after Archer by himself on S1.

Avoid some of the Season 1 & 2 publicity shots we've seen recycled and photoshopped over and over.

My God, Trip is a spitting image of G.W. Braindead on that pic! :wtf:
Flipped heads on a body from another image perhaps? People aren't perfectly symmetrical, so you can generally tell when the image is a mirror version. The artist needed a shot of Trip looking in a particular direction and cheated a bit, I'd imagine.

All sorts of tricks are employed in the world of media and advertising. You only have to look at various magazines, which slim and tweek the female form.

I prefer the second pictures with just the ship. Options 1 & 3 are just blah! (Actually, Option 1 looks like they just recycled the booklets that were in the DVD's that said which episodes were on which discs.)

Plus, how many times do people look at the artwork? Sure, on the store shelf, but really when you get home, do you really notice the artwork, or are you more interested in what is on the discs?

When was Travis dressed like that?

"Horizon". Probably the only episode in which he got the A-plot. While he's dealing with a death in the family, and sibling rivalry over the way their cargo ship is run, the Enterprise crew are observing some volcanic planet.

We see that zero gravity "sweet spot" again from the pilot at the start of the episode.

Or to put it another way, Frankenstein was showing for movie night that week!

Ring any bells?

Okay. Me neither! ;)

I don't remember that red sweater at all. Or the guy in it.

I have an urge to put a red nosed reindeer right in the middle of that sweater.

I'd vote for the third one if they got rid of Archer, just a starfield would be better, maybe add a nice picture of earth.

I still don't understand how the NX-01 had an automated helm while future ships needed someone at the controls. I thought Archer's era was supposed to be less advanced, not more.

^ What do you mean? The NX's helm console isn't automated. There's always someone there flying the ship. And as we can see, it's full of manual controls.
