On September 20 this year Hare confronted him at the Black Country council estate where they both live, convinced Vader had been been wooing his partner Kerry Campbell with Jedi mind tricks.

Furious Hare, 35, swung a punch at his 42-year-old neighbour Darth but missed and instead hit Darth's wife, Suzanne Vader.

The court was told Hare also picked up a brick and threw sand in Vader's face during their duel.

Prosecutors told the Express and Star that Hare fled and escaped, despite being chased by several people (and a dark lord of the Sith). Officers collared the assailant two days later at his girlfriend's house.

Hare pleaded guilty on Tuesday to the attack, and was slapped with an 18-month probation and an anger management course. Darth Vader, on the other hand, was not ordered to go to an anger management course.

Putting Darth Vader in an anger management course could be a new reality show.
