Big job interview tomorrow

So today I did my follow-up call that I said I was going to make in my thank you card. I asked if there were any more questions or anything I could clarify for them. She said no and thanked me again for taking the time to come in and interview. She also thanked me again for a demo animation I had made for the district and submitted along with my demo reel prior to the interview calling it a "nice touch."

But, she was not forthcoming with any info at all and seemed to be anxious to end the call in as polite and professional a manor as possible. I feel like this is a bad sign. Am I perhaps reading too much into it? Anyone here been on the hiring side of the hiring process before?

It depends. If you were one of the first applicants they were interviewing and they had allotted two weeks of interviews, it may be a while. The lady you talked with might be just being professional by not saying anything. I checked the first post in the thread and and it hasn't been a week since your interview. I'd wait a week before jumping to conclusions.

I believe they did all first-round interviews Thursday. My wife pointed out that they probably haven't done anything since then. She said they surely didn't Friday, and that Mondays are always crazy. I admit that I'm being a little like a teenage girl hoping my big crush asks me to prom. This is my last hope in the forseeable future for working in my field and I've had even worse luck getting jobs outside my field.

Good luck, Guartho. They tend not to tip their hand during an interview, I just walk out of them with a gut feeling when that is the case, one way or the other.

I had an interview yesterday myself, and the guy practically blew his wad over me, I need to send him some references and a thank you note, but I'm pretty confident I'm getting an offer next week. Also mentioned I have 3 more interviews lined up, which could expedite things a bit.

Only good thing from being unemployed and going on all these interviews from time to time is that I can now iron a dress shirt in no time flat and tie a tie like a pro on the first shot.
