Should be interesting tomorrow- Lewis on pole with his good mate the Crash Magnet right next to him.

I think I'll predict a good chance of the Crash Magnet taking out Lewis at the first corner, and letting Vettel stroll away with the race...

If Pastor has any sense, he'll stay well clear of any other cars, lest he get a race ban for causing a crash. After all hasn't he been to the stewards almost as much as Grosjean?

"Crash Magnet", lol. True, though... :(

Hamilton's odds for a race win tomorrow are remarkably short (odds on, in fact) given how unpredictable this season has been. Given Maldonado's record for crashing, it's half-tempting to short Lewis by way of a hedge against being my being disappointed by such an outcome.

Actually more than Grosjean- 8 penalties out of 12 races (two at Spa!)... though never with a ban

Well not yet at least, Though being in the banned club is not one I suspect a driver wants to get into, though he does have some illustrious fellow members Schumacher, Hakkinen, Mansell

And Vettel wins. I'm more pleased by DiResta's 4th place- I think his best result, and just shy of a podium.

Oh great, another win for the stupid wunderkind. I'll give up on watching F1 if he wins another title.

It's only his second win this year, and he's still only third in the championship (albeit only by one point behind Lewis).

I'd say, really, Alonso's got the championship well in the bag now. It's mathematically possible for Lewis or Vettel to take it, but, realistically, at this point I'll be *very* surprised if it's not Alonso.

Would rather see Alonso run away with the title than Vettel fight for it, as at least the former is a proper driver, albeit an arrogant, annoying one.

The only thing that remains to be seen if any action will be taken regarding the restart after the first SC. Last I heard JB, SV and the teams where in the stewards room. Though I don't expecnd any sort of penalty

It looked to me like Vettel came to a near-complete halt right in the middle of the corner, while Button was doing more of an appropriate speed. Basically, Vettel's fault.

I'm not disagreeing I'm just not expecting any sort of penalty, that'll affect the result of the GP.

What's the problem with Vettel? He's not a big racer, but he's certainly very fast, apparently competent at working his team and generally nice to the media & public. I find Alonso far more tiresome a personality.

Lewis did well not to keep his cool at the mechanical failure when pretty much in control of the race, and I must admit having a moment of anticipating JEV clocking Schumy after he crashed into the back of him and they were walking towards each other.

Button showed his maturity when Vettel slammed on the brakes; all those early years in inconsistent & disappointing cars has certainly made for a calm and focused racer.

Well no doubt he was deemed to have caused an avoidable accident.

In latest F1 news dounble-DRS banned for 2013 and stepped noses could go as well

    http://www.formula1.com/news/headlines/2012/9/13848.html

Could that mean McLaren who where one of the few teams not to use a stepped nose have an advantage for next year should the rest of the teams decide instead of masking the stepped nose to follow McLarens smoother nose design?

I for one won't miss stepped noses, the only car which looked aesthetically pleasing is the McLaren.

and if anyone missed it Webber handed time penalty dropping him to 11th for the Singapore GP.

Holy shit! Lewis to the Silver Arrows, and Sergio Perez to McLaren (hey, why not DiResta to keep it British?) Where does this leave Schumi? (and the £6million in sponsorship he just got for next year)? I think Hamilton's missing a trick by moving now instead of waiting till next year when there are all the new rules and stuff... http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/formula1/19755236
