Is his part substantial?
Radagast is strictly a supporting character. He appears very little in the book and extra material so it's hard to say how much of a role he will have in the film (or films, we don't even know if he's just in the first one or not).Never been a LotR fan but I'll be watching this for McCoy, my favourite Doctor!

Especially when they've already said that they suspect that Radaghast will become a fan favorite.
This. Along with Tom Baker, I grew up on Sylvester McCoy as The Doctor and for many years remained my second favorite Doctor. Troughton, Smith and McGann (via the audios) have recently surpassed him but his Doctor remains very special to me and I'm absolutely thrilled by this role for him.I certainly hope so. It'll be really nice to see McCoy's career get such a huge boost.Especially when they've already said that they suspect that Radaghast will become a fan favorite.
I'm torn. I really like the guy who seems to be a nice and clever bloke, but to say the least, I've never warmed to his particular brand of acting and I've yet to find him convincing in any role. Maybe he'll be amazing in this, who knows? This. Along with Tom Baker, I grew up on Sylvester McCoy as The Doctor and for many years remained my second favorite Doctor.
