How many Trek authors actually post on this forum?

I've never paid much attention to the technical aspects of posting here. You'll note that I've never bothered to select an avatar--or figure out how they work. :)
Avatars are fun. You could have one that combines Q and Khan, where Khan tells Q, "Please... sit and entertain me." :p

I vote we give him a user title that says, "Doesn't want a user title." Or maybe, "This user title intentionally left blank."
How about, "One of my books has a scene so scarycreepy, it gave Timewalker nightmares"? (honestly, it really did)

Well, just a wave to any Trek authors that do visit this board and see this thread...

hey, and thanks for contributing to the Trek franchise... chances are i've read and loved your stuff, so thanks for writing :)

A pic of Benedict Cumberbatch in a leather overcoat?

Who? I have no idea who that is...

Canada's Space Channel is rerunning TNG, and I caught "Encounter at Farpoint" last night. Actually, Q in his Renaissance-era armor and anachronistic Prince Valiant-style hair seemed rather... attractive (or maybe I've been watching too much Borgias lately).

Some picture featuring these two classic villains from the first two series, since Greg Cox wrote excellent trilogies about each of them. :)

Wouldn't it have irked Khan greatly if Q had found him instead of Kirk?

Q: Thou art directed to return to thine own Solar System immediately.
Khan: WTF?!

Star of BBC's excellent modern day remake of Sherlock Holmes.
And the villain of Star Trek XII... rumoured to be Khan (despite a few denials)

I say he should go with "TWoK DVD extra"
:)

Tee hee.

When our Sydney club previewed "Encounter at Farpoint", way back in the 80s, many of our members squealed, "Omigod it's Eugene Bradford!" ("Days of Our Lives").

Hee, yourself - the day that TNG premiered here in Canada, it happened to be the same weekend that our local Society for Creative Anachronism group was hosting our annual Harvest Feast & Tournament. The only person in the group who owned a house decided to tape the show and after the feast, we were invited back to her place to watch it. So I'll see you "Days of Our Lives" and raise you a couple of dozen SCA members crowded into a living room, still in our medieval clothes, watching "Encounter at Farpoint." And the first thing somebody said when they saw Q was, "That's Trelane, all grown up!" :p

When TNG premiered, I was serving in Germany. Canadian Forces Network didn't air it (I think the U.S. AFN did), so dad graciously taped the episodes and mailed them over to me. When I announced that I had the tape of the first episode, I had to lend it out so many times that it literally wore the video cassette out. I became a TNG lending library.

As for Space showing TNG again - I can't watch Space any more as our carrier doesn't/won't/can't provide the HD channel. I cannot stand watching it in SD.

He's also the voice and mocap of Smaug the Dragon, and The Necromancer (aka Sauron) in The Hobbit. He's kind of becoming a major figure in the nerdverse.

But he also isn't a nerd, let that be said. Anyway, for his work see Parade's End on at present, and in Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy, as well as his theatrical career. We are blessed to have him!

Was in War Horse, Four Lions, The Other Boleyn Girl and Atonement.

Sherlock's the best thing on T.V. - unbelievably good. It looks like the third season's going to be the last one and I'm devastated. Lets hope there's the occasional one off !

Cumberbatch also did what was said to be a great version of Frankenstein, on stage. Appereantly it was actually performed quite close to where I live, but I only found out way afterwards. :(

Interesting coincidence -- Cumberbatch did it as a 2-man show with Jonny Lee Miller, who's playing the other modern Sherlock Holmes in CBS's Elementary this fall. Cumberbatch and Miller swapped the roles of Frankenstein and his monster on alternate nights.

I am grateful that so many authors do post here. Their regular posting is the main reason I joined this site.

I suspect that it's not a coincidence - I'd imagine that this factored into CBS' casting of Miller.
