Season TWO OFFICIAL TNG Blu-Ray Discussion Thread

I don't think he's wearing a gold uniform; as he never wore one in the series and making him look to be in one would require someone to actually manipulate the image which would be an odd thing to do. It just looks like he's wearing a gold uniform due to the gold tint of the cover.
I think that's exactly what is.

I don't. The shade is too spot on for it to simply be the tint. The red and yellow probably didn't look right together so someone altered the color.

Or it could be like the Season1 cover where it looks like Data has a red stripe instead of yellow on his uniform.

But I must say I still prefer the look and design of the 2002 DVD covers (and even the disc stamps) over the current Blu-Ray designs.

Picard's uniform looks yellowish on season one too. I don't see how it's a big deal when the art clearly leans towards a simplified color scheme.

^She's mentioned in Who Watches the Watchers? and referenced in Ship in a Bottle.

Cheers. Never noticed before. Although it makes perfect sense with the latter.

Interesting insight from that interview with her. Once Gene was gone that was it for her. It was also interesting that it seemed at least some of the cast was jealous of her higher salary.

I'm sure Whoopi Goldberg was probably drawing a higher salary as well when she joined the show.

That caught my attention as well. Was she really as big of a star as it implies back then. I only know her other than TNG from her days on the original Star Trek and then she joined LA Law. Like Bill said, Whoopi's was probably higher.

She was paid more than some of the main cast? Really? But she was only credited as a special guest star through the entire season. I would think it would be the same amount at most. :wtf:

If I had to guess, I'd way Sirtis was probably one of those giving her a hard time, considering how close she was with McFadden.

And speaking of the uniforms, I have to say I've gotten kind of used to seeing Worf and Geordi in red again. It just looks so much better on them than that drab looking gold they switched to in the second season.

Although I do think the collars later on made those gold ones look a lot better.

My guess is that since Roddenberry asked her, and the show was looking more likely to succeed, she was able to negotiate a better salary, and/or she had a better agent negotiating for her.
