All Things Old are New Again

Bubbles McGee

Lieutenant Commander
Ok, so things have been getting a little heavy here on the boards so let's try to lighten it up a bit. Here is a variation on another thread I created a few days back.

JJ Abrams has gone totally nuts and is remaking all of the TOS episodes. Of course he is casting contemporary actors. Who might he choose? Here are some ideas to get things rolling:

Commodore Decker: Tom Cruise
Commodore Stone: Morgan Freeman
The Squire: Zach Galifianakis
Gorgon: Arnold Schwarzenegger
Cyrano Jones: John Pinette
Khan: Mickey Rourke
Giotto: Sly Stallone
Surak: Christopher Walken

:guffaw:

We approve! (hypothetically :vulcan: & satirically )

But..Tom Cruise is already K-R-A-Z-Y, their is no character arc-;)

Morgan Freeman, that I could actually see

Zach Galifianakis as the squire, hmmm...as a effeminate portrayal (ala his role in "The Campaign" or bein' bad and sinsiter-like)

The Govanator as Gorgon, well they are getting closer in shape, and who could tell with a moo-moo shower curtain for wardrobe.

Micky Rourke as Khan  my God are you insane-sounds like fun-:)

Sly as Giotto (Galileo 7, if I am remembering right)-We'll Sly could have a great death scene. Not just "ham" it up, but 'ham-fist' it up. :p

Try as I might, can't picture Christopher Walken as a Vulcan, come on how could he emote!

When the children "reject" him and he starts turning ugly with the "growths" upon his face, have him exclaim, "It is not a tumor!"

Sincerely,

Bill

Laurence Fishburne as Dr. Richard Daystrom in "The Ultimate Computer." He'd probably have to drop a few pounds, though.

Jim Parsons (Sheldon Cooper from "The Big Bang Theory") as Gary 7 and Kaley Cuoco (Penny from "The Big Bang Theory") as Roberta Lincoln for the "Assignment: Earth" episode.

Ellen Wong (Knives Chau from "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World") as Elaan for the "Elaan of Troyius" episode.

Mike Myers (Dr. Evil in the "Austin Powers" films) as Korob for the "Catspaw" episode.

:p

How about Brad Pitt as Commodore Decker instead of Tom Cruise?
Here is a picture of Pitt as the crazy character Jeffrey Goines from the film "Twelve Monkeys".

How about Russell Brand as the Squire of Gothos instead of Zach Galifianakis?

George Clooney as Flint for the "Requiem for Methuselah" episode.
