Inspired by the return of Dallas to the airwaves, the new contest will be....your favorite soap character.

Entries can be from any soap, daytime, prime-time, American or British (or other country). No Sci-Fi, maximum 150x150 pixels and 140KB.

I'll go with one of my many favorites, the mostly evil Todd Manning (latter day version) of OLTL & now GH.

Ah. If you'd allowed sci-fi/fantasy, I would have gone with Barnabas from Dark Shadows. So, that said, I'll go with my favorite characters from way back when I actually watched a soap.

Robert Scorpio and Anna, from General Hospital.

Great theme!

Mike from Neighbours (who some people may recognise ;) ) and Plain Jane Super Brain. He was so my hero back in the day, and I had such a crush on her!

I've always had a huge thing for Finola Hughes, even now.

Billy Crystal as the gay son Jodie Dallas in "Soap" (1977-1981). I'll understand if I don't get any votes. But the fact is I don't watch contemporary soap operas.

Awesome choice, Katherine Helmond and Robert Guillaume were great in that as well.

We grew up with Neighbours at home. For me, the daddy was always Jim Robinson (played by Alan Dale):

^ And Richard Mulligan.
It's gratifying to see that people know about this show. My family watched every week and we laughed 'til our sides hurt.

Still on the table: Dynasty, Knots Landing, Melrose Place, Desperate Housewives, Falcon Crest, Dawson's Creek, EastEnders, Coronation Street...just to name a few.
