I already have major gripes about them "planning a 52-episode arc," mainly because I'm almost certain that's major BS.
And I held onto BSG till Season 3, mind you.
I dunno, given how the show has turned out, I'm inclined to believe them. Unlike Thundercats, this show has competently told narrative, plus the fact that Scooby-Doo is a staple show that always gets a decent run, which means they didn't have to worry about getting cancelled part way through.Hmm... That said, the people running CN seem to have some weird ideas for the schedule of this show, but I've heard speculation that's because they want to pair it with Looney Toons Show, which is apparently still in production.
Wrong. Getting the Mystery Solvers State Finals was a crapshoot in itself because WB and CN fought over finishing the season let alone a Season 2. SDMI didn't get greenlit for a second season till after the finale.
As far as them actually plotting out a full arc, I wouldn't say that they totally pulled things out of their ass, but there's quite a few things from early season 2 that I can't get over or excuse.
I stumbled upon this new Scooby-Doo by accident. My 3 year son is seriously into Scooby-Doo and I owned all the old Scooby-Doo on DVD, so I was out buying some of the Scooby-Doo movies when I picked up this by accident. I wasn't even aware there was a new Scooby-Doo.
This new Scooby-Doo is great, in fact I can't believe how well this is done. The stories are really engaging, the art and animation is so well done. Even my wife loves watching it and that says a lot. I'm only through the first season and I have pre-ordered the second season disk 1.
