I thought this was somewhat interesting. http://www.bleedingcool.com/2012/08...e-travel-go-to-mars-stallone-drops-us-a-hint/ Also possible (likely long shot) cast additions for 3?? Nic Cage I could see accepting an offer. Ford and Eastwood, not so much. http://www.cinemablend.com/new/Nic-...e-Clint-Eastwood-Harrison-Ford-Too-32448.html
Cage and Snipes would be, in theory, easy grabs. Ford, as much as I'd love it, seems to be something of snob, or was unless he's mellowed. He or his agent seemed to always demand the attention for him in promotion and screen time and I don't think they can pay that and maintain acceptable projectable profit margins. Eastwood, which would rock the house, even in a cameo akin to Willis/Arnold in the first film isn't very likely but I would show up just for those 30 seconds. I wish Avi Lerner(producer) and Segal would drop their decades old grudge match and get Segal in a part three. He could get back into suitable shape. While I'm dream casting it would be nice as well for Kurt Russell to just want to do it, Stallone has asked both times. Hey, maybe Mel Gibson in a bad guy role for TE3?
I'd kind of like to see Hulk Hogan in the third movie. Right now given the condition of his body though he might not be able to do much, that hasn't stopped him from participating in TNA though.
I'd wanna see Kurt Russell and Mel Gibson - but more than that I'd wanna see some "deadlier than the male" female stars- Weaver, Hamilton, Bullock, Jolie...
I'd love to see Harrison Ford in The Expendables 3. Joining him up with Stallone, Arnold, and Willis would be the perfect grand slam. I'm never considered him for The Expendables, probably because his action films usually aren't random bloodfests/R-rated. Not to mention he's been notorious in the past for script tinkering. I'm be surprised if he agreed to be in one of these movies. Although knowing his track record over the past 15 years, The Expendables 3 would likely be a box office bomb that would completely kill the franchise.
If the Nic Cage thing does happen, I hope to god he gets to play a villain with the hair and accent of Cameron Poe.
I just saw it. In my humble opinion this is a movie every Man should see. Period. It should be Man Law. If you're a man and you refuse to see it you should turn in your Man Card and be restricted to Hunger Games and Twilight sequels from now on.
I just got back myself. This really was one of the funnest movies I've seen in a while. The plot was thin, the dialogue was hammy, and the action was great! I think the best part was seeing Arnold and Willis bickering: "You'll always be back! I'll be back" "Yippie Kai Ai." And then "What's next, Rambo!?"
I really enjoyed it. The film is a lot of fun, it's funny, and it has great action. It's fun just to see all these different stars working together. Good flick!
Yeah same here. Maybe it's just that the novelty has worn off a little, but it felt like the first one was a bit more fun and badass somehow. There were also more varied locations, and more varied types of action. This one all seemed to take place in the same murky environment, and most of it was just people shooting guns.
