Three questions:

1.) How can this Bynar operate singly? Aren't they required to come in pairs?

2.) What happened to that poor Andorian's skin? I can't recall them being so crackly looking...

3.) Is that female Ferengi naked? Is Starfleet okay with that? Where does she keep her rank pins and combadge?

Yes indeed. What happens to a Bynar when one is left alone?

Just my interpretation on the Andorian look. Its not actually cracks its fine blood vessels. At this point all I will say is not everyone maybe as they initially appear.

Starfleet is a tolerant organisation devoted to seeking new civilasations. Just as today many Muslim women inexplicably prefer to wear clothing that hides their body- imposed by males/religion, so can female Ferengi choose to honour the sexist regime and wear naught but a fig leaf:rommie:

P'rin wasn't invited onbaord:klingon:

HA!

I figured there would be an explanation, I just wondered what it might be...

I'm curious to see the finished product.

This topic was also addressed in the Starfleet Corps of Engineers novella series (initially released as e-books and then collected into printed compilations), which I found quite enjoyable. This looks like a fun concept too. :techman:

I havent read the books. But i read a synopsis of the character on memory alpha. The Bynar in the book seemed to get along without his mate. I wouldn't expect it to be so easy.

Actually, one of the interesting aspects of those stories was that character's struggles surviving without his mate. You have lots of fertile ground for character study there. :bolian:

Well my work around for this will be very different from the novel:drool:

Looking forward to it!

Now that you mention it, the angle the nacelles are mounted at does resemble a K'tinga class. For a while, I've had it in the back of my mind that the nacelles would look better slanted outward (like a Vor'cha), but now the angle they were given makes a little bit more sense, now that you've mentioned the intention behind the design.

The nacelles extend like Voyagers to use variable warp geometry. It's a sister ship of the Intrepid class.
