Model Building question..

I want to try and recreate this effect (in the yellow circle) as a mount, for a side project?

Maybe sick a scale cow in it for laughs
Not too worried about the lighting it

Thank you in advance.. Bill.

How complicated do you want to get in recreating it?

If it was me, I'd use a clear plastic cone, trim the point off at the right spot to attach the saucer to it, and then give the lower section a light misting of blue paint. Best part is, the cone would remain open at the bottom so you could put whatever you want within the "beam" and swap it out with ease.

^This -except I'd make it out of a sheet of plastic I'd printed the misting on, like you'd print on sheets of transparent plastic for an over-head projector.

I'd push this over to the art forum, quite a few modelers (like Forbin) over there.
