Hello everyone I recently inherited some star trek collectables and, was wondering if any of you could help me figure out their value. I have a 12 pc franklin mint Intergalactic coin collection that is in a case. I also have 2-12 pc franklin mint insignia collection One that contains: Sciences insignia, starfleet academy, engineering insignia, tyran logo, bajoran armed forces, mercenary symbol, galaxy class development, iyaaran logo, cardassian emblem, the symbol of the borg, arkaria logo, bajoran emblem. The other 12 pc. mint insignia collection has: U.S.S enterprise command insignia, starfleet flag admiral, united federation of planets pennant, romulan bird of prey, united federation of planets seal, klingon empire insignia, captains bar, vulcan idic, commander pin, ferengi insignia, starfleet officers bar, star trek: the next generation communicator. These sets are both made of gold and silver and are from the franklin mint. I am looking for the value of these items, I was told specifically from the moderators of this forum that I was in no way shape or form to try and sell them here which I will not do. However if you're interested in them I will post a link to a 3rd party site (i.e. amazon.com) if you're interested, and would be willing to give a discount to the the people on the Trek BBS forum, thanks for the help it is greatly appreciated. ONCE AGAIN I WILL NOT SELL THESE ON THIS FORUM, I AM SIMPLY LOOKING FOR THEIR VALUE. I inherited these from a family member who has passed away, and while I do enjoy star trek I would rather get the money for them instead. Thanks. If you would like some pictures I can send them I dont know how to post on here if you send me a PM I would be happy to email them to you.

Hello everyone I recently inherited some star trek collectables and, was wondering if any of you could help me figure out their value.

Star Trek collectibles are only ever worth what people are willing to pay. I've seen a small box of "Star Trek: The Motion Picture" Bandaids sell for both $2 and $400, depending on the mood of the room on the night, and the people attending the auction.

Best bet is to register some notifications with eBay on the items you own and wish to price - and you'll get automated weekly emails if/when these items get posted for auction by other owners. Watch what they sell for. Sometimes a bargain, sometimes a fortune. Or search the "Sold items" section and see what these items have sold for in previous auctions.

Be patient. Interest in Star Trek may spike again soon, when the next movie comes out. At the moment, the Trek collecting arena is a bit quiet. Some people love the Franklin Mint stuff. Others dismiss it in favour of toys and models that received broader commercial availability.

eg. http://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_trksid=p3984.m570.l1313&_nkw=%22franklin+mint%22+trek&_sacat=0
for a few ideas of starting bids and "buy it now" prices set on Franklin Mint items.
