NBC and Bryan Fuller remaking The Munsters

I was also wondering if we're seeing the complete makeup here. These are just informal pics and Herman looks pretty unfinished.

I was wondering the same thing. In an interview Jerry O'Connell said it "includes alot of cool special effects'. That could mean different types of things. Maybe digital alteration to the characters.

Maybe occasionally Herman has periods of looking more inhuman.

Maybe his "parts" detach.

Hmm, not at all what I was expecting, but I trust Fuller so I'm not worried. Like others have said, this makes me think it's weirdness will be based more on what they do than what they look like.

The Metaluna monster from Silent Earth? :rommie: Hopefully, Fuller was mumbling and that was transcribed badly, but shouldn't a genre reporter know better than that? :rommie:

What he describes in the interview sounds pretty cool, hopefully the show will live up to it's potential.

Using Universal monsters is a smart way to ingratiate the show with the bosses. If the ratings are iffy - and on NBC, that's a definite possibility - that might save he show's ass down the line.

Lol. I had the same thought.

But this is all looking and sound great.

Will they be the actual Universal Monsters or reimagined versions?

They could be very different, even ironic reversals of the characters, and still satisfy the egos of the corporate bosses. Think Disney vs Once Upon a Time. Turning Frankenstein into Ward Cleaver is the same idea as what ABCs been up to.
