Just an FYI-if anyone is after fed mirror universe ships, they are currently selling on the exchange for less than master keys. At that price there's no reason to even bother with lock boxes.

Oh, that's good - I want the Sovy (it's a better fit for the Argus in the mirror configuration and Lex is a science captain). Must pick one up tonight then.

^Just remember the names are mirrored as well as the stats, so the sovereign is actually in the mirror star cruiser pack. I made this mistake the first time.

We should have a shiny looking Starbase in about 19 hours, 40 minutes or so. :D

Thanks for the heads up. :bolian: I bought one of each of the mirror universe ships. I'll be sending the KDF ship to my Klingon toon to try out. Were you able to find any of the new consoles on the exchange?

Rats.. I will be out tomorrow night, so I won't be able to participate. Have fun and take screenshots !!

    No problem. :)
I could be mistaken (it happens frequently), but I believe lock box consoles are bound.

I think it's automatic from memory.

I just won an orb weaver... but it went into my overflow bag and my overflow bag won't display! :'(

EDIT: Restarting worked. And that bridge is... interesting!

Disappointed in my lock box experience. Made it sound like a better deal, so broke down and bought a key to try it out.

I got a couple Lobi crystals and a Phased Tetryon weapon (in the box, so don't know ship or ground yet). Not really anything that I'd consider WORTH anything, at least to me. Put the box back up on the exchange, as it looks like if I opened it, both things aren't worth much, but unopened, it's still around $400k. So, if the key cost $900k, I paid half a million for 4 Lobi crystals. Not exactly the value I was hoping for...

So i take it i have to be in a fleet to do those new fleet missions in the PVE menu....and then i have to buy stuff from the c-store for the fleet.

It's all a but confusing to say the least.

You don't have to buy anything from the C-store for the fleet. Being in a fleet that has completed various tiers of their starbase will enable you to purchase some new stuff in the c-store, but those purchases are optional.

If your fleet ever tells you you have to make a purchase, and you're not comfortable with that, there are other fleets.

Basically fleets now get to build a starbase in Eta Edriani. In order to build the starbase, fleet members need to contribute all sorts of resources such as Self Sealing Stem Bolts, Crafting particles, Duty Officers, Dilithium and "Fleet Marks" earned from the new fleet actions. Nothing in the C-Store is required to build the starbase. In return for their contributions, fleet members get Fleet Credits which can be used to buy better ships, buffs or the ability to call in support in the new fleet events.

The only time something from the C-Store is required is when you want to build an advanced "Fleet Ship". In exchange for 4 Fleet Supply Modules from the C-Store, you can build an advanced ship of your choice in the starbase's shipyard.

Ok thanks very much for that.....it was somewhat confusing, i have only really played this game on single player since launch and never touched the whole fleet or PVP things yet since STO launched.

I suppose i will have to now if i want to access the new stuff like those missions and fleet stuff.

Anyway thanks for the info, its much appreciated.

Oh and are you guys taking anybody on or are you full up?

Normally I cut Cryptic a lot of slack on this kind of thing because it's an f2p game, but this is absurd. Seven bucks for a per character item that is little more than a costume unlock? Screw that.
