Human cyborg and University of Toronto Professor Steve Mann claims he was brutalized and kicked out of a Paris McDonald’s earlier this month after employees objected to his headset and its ability to record photos and videos of his experiences.

According to Mann, after he and his family had received their food and taken a seat by the entrance, another McDonald’s employee, whom Mann refers to as Perpetrator 1, approached and angrily tried to pull the EyeTap, which is permanently attached and cannot be removed without tools, off of his head.

“Perp. 1 reached his left hand out and pressed against the frame of my eyeglass, and swung his left hand around a few times pushing and pulling at it,” he told us.

The human tried to disassemble him in front of his own family!

Mann then tried to calm Perpetrator 1 and showed him his doctor’s note, which the employee showed to two coworkers, whom Mann nicknames Perpetrators 2 and 3.

After Perpetrator 2 crumpled up his doctor’s note and Perpetrator 1 tore up some other documentation he provided, Perpetrator 1 then allegedly pushed him out the door and onto the street, damaging his gear.

So whose side will you be on in the coming conflict?

I don't get it? Is that an actual replacement for his right eye? If not, why does he carry a prescription for it, and why is it permanently attached (ouch)? And if it is a replacement for his eye, what the fuck where they thinking? He has a camera where his eyeball would be and they tell him no camera allowed? Holy fuck.

At the McDonalds in Napoli I used to hit occasionally, you could get fried shrimp. And not that popcorn shrimp crap either. No waiters there though.

To be honest.. after seeing a picture of the guy i'd freak out too a little bit.

However there's no excuse how he was treated.. they may ask him to leave for whatever reason but they definitely don't have the right to touch him at any point.

Personally.. i'd like to raise some hell publicly. Corporations fear nothing more than bad PR and it's especially bad if you are disabled/handicapped in some way and get mistreated for that.

And no.. McDonalds doesn't have waiters. However in recent years (at least in Germany) they tend to bring you stuff to the table if it takes them a little while to make it and there's a line behind you.

So it could be considered waiting tables but not in the traditional sense.

Additionally a few months ago i was in one that was so dirty and messy.. trays everywhere, stuff on the floor and nobody around to clean up a bit. I usually don't care much but it really bothered me so much that i nearly took out my phone to make some pictures and mail it to McD HQ so they can see how it looks like in one of their licensed places.
