What do you do for a living?

Graphic Production Artist for a small printing company. Occasionally I get to flex my creative muscles and come up with a layout for a brochure, print ad or mailing piece, but a lot of it is donkey work -- glorified digital typesetting. I wouldn't presume to call myself an actual "artist" because, technically, I can't draw worth shit.

^ For a salaried employee, that type of work usually pays $12 to $20/hour, depending on experience. Freelance graphic artists can earn more on an hourly basis, but the work may be sporadic and you have both the plusses and minuses of being your own boss.

Unemployed right now but I'm hoping to have a job in the non-profit world before the year is over. It'll most likely be something part-time for awhile.

Nothing - I am on a disability pension.

When I was well enough to work I was a library technician.

I work in a supermarket (Baker's, owned by Kroger). I do...pretty much everything except work in the meat department. I don't know what I'll be doing on any given day until I get there. Some days I may be running the front line, some days working in the liquor dept., others Customer Service, still others produce, etc. I basically have free run of the store. Very nice variety. :)

Heh. "Non-profit" accurately describes every job I've ever had. ;)

I'm a local TV news writer. Some stations call my job "Associate Producer." Before the newscast I write scripts, later I print them and run teleprompter during the show.

Most of my career was in corrections. My last job, before I went on disability in 2010, was inspecting jails and prisons for the state.

I currently work 10 hours a week in retail. However, the company just went into administration, so I'll be out of work again in a few months.

Finding work around here is just impossible. I graduated last year and hoped that I'd be able to go straight into a job, but instead it took over nine months to find a part-time till-monkey position in a local shop. There are enough high-level jobs going, but there aren't any entry-level positions, and I'm "over-qualified" for the basic jobs that do come up.

Yes, some of my beginning clients were "Adult" material producers.

Freelance Video Editor, Video Production and Computer Graphics.

Have you ever encountered job opportunities of a "adult" nature in your specific field. For some reason I can imagine the behind the scenes stuff (eg, designing computer graphic engines for websites, editing video, etc) in the adult industry as being incredibly lucrative.
