It was absolutely PAINFUL.
I love the original, it's a feel good adrenaline hit every time I hear it.

Faith of the Heart was an 80s hair metal theme? I must of missed something somewhere.

Agreed, I'd be hard pressed to label Faith of the Heart as much heavier than soft Rock. Also, 1980s Hair Bands/Glam Rock was all about showcasing the Vocals, and lots of "Wah Wah Wah". 80s bands that used the gravelly voice to hide their lack of vocal skill, were much heavier bands, so I disagree with that posted definitionIt doesn't really sound like Bon Jovi, Poison, Ratt, Def Leppard. Skid Row, Whitesnake, etc. Even when those band do power ballads it doesn't realy sound like Faith of the Heart either.
So, who would you like to hear do a cover of Faith of the Heart?
I'm voting for Brandon Flowers.

Nope, the Glam Rock, "Wah, Wah, Wah" singing style bands were known as Hair Metal. Metallica was just Metal. Known as Hair Metal, because the Band Members had pretty, very styled glamourous hairIt doesn't really sound like Bon Jovi, Poison, Ratt, Def Leppard. I don't consider those bands 80s hair metal bands either. When I think of 80s hair metal bands, I think of the likes of Metallica.
Yup, Got in one. Though, their music was more Techincally complex then typical of Hair Metal/Glam Rock, Van Halen can also be pigeon-holed into Hair Metal, based upon looksMetallica? Doesn't hair metal require big crazy poofy hair, make up and bright patterned clothing?
T'was bad, aye, but the lack of a single crewmember death in the first two seasons was much worse - one can't mute/skip chapter forward on that. Even The West Wing killed off an employee in its first few eps!![]()

Well, then I totally misunderstood the genre of music which is being discussed then. I just remember Metallica having a lot of hair and playing metal. I thought that was what we were talking about but I'm wrong.
Back then yes Metallica had a lot of hair! But they were considered "thrash metal". I guess you can still call them that but they have mellowed a tad bit.
