Another Sequel Shooting Location?

Over on the StarTrek.com board, someone who is a pretty reliable and a frequent poster was on a tour of L.A. The tour went by a mansion in Beverly Hills and the guide said that the new Star Trek film just finished shooting there last week. Principle photography was completed about 3 or 4 weeks ago I believe, so I'm assuming, if it's correct, that it was some sort of 2nd unit filming possibly?

Link to the thread.

Obviously not as concrete as info from TrekMovie or anything, but thought it was worth passing along.

Could be. A lot of movies have filmed there, why not Star Trek? Home of a CEO, maybe? (Wink, wink.) Federation President's residence? Did they shoot interiors? Exteriors only? Interesting, really, since the building (at least unenhanced by any CGI that may be added) seems anachronistic to Trek's time.

They could have been filming anything? The grounds, the mansion, inside the mansion. We really don't know what the Greystone mansion will use in the film. But it might be use as a stand in for Captain James Kirk Riverside, Iowa home he had grown up in. But not really sure. We just have to wait and see.

I don't think it will be standing in for anyplace in Iowa.

Call it a hunch.

Back before Christmas, it was said a museum in the L.A. area was going to serve as a "famous" Star Trek location. Would Greystone Mansion technically qualify as a museum? I realize we've glimpsed it before, but maybe Greystone is part of the Camp Khitomer compound?

That little girl actress (the one who posted the pictures of Pegg and Yelchin in military uniforms) is rumored to be playing the daughter of Peter Weller's character, and Nazneen Contractor is supposedly playing the wife of Weller (the girls mother)...

...Given the fact that Weller's character is supposed to be some sort of industrialist (or the star trek equivalent), and that we will be seeing his family, I'm guessing this will be Peter Weller's character's house.

EDIT: I see that BBS member "Mr. Laser Beam" said the same thing 7 posts above mine. I agree.

I thought they were supposed to be playing the wife and daughter of Noel Clarke's character?

You're absolutely right. I misremember what I read about that girl's role. Stupid memory [whacks self in head].
Anyway...mea culpa.

Been there, done that.

I still think that Weller is going to recreate his Star Trek: Enterprise role of John Frederick Paxton. He would be the main villain. You have to admit, Paxton was truly evil.
