This whole things has been a trainwreck from the start. The artwork is atrocious and the story is just terrible. The author may have written the original story, but he doesn't understand that you don't make sequels to stories like this, you just have the characters feel the aftereffects of their experiences.

This seems to have disappeared completely from the trekmovie site.

Chapter 5, plus the earlier chapters, can be found here.

Man, that's some sloppy artwork. I mean, it's unforgivably sloppy. The line between the shoulders and front panel of Geordi's uniform crawls up and down in the first panels, and the expressions are muddy and run from stoic to slack jawed without much in between.

Yeah I agree. It's unfortunate because I like the concept of the story, but I can't really bring myself to read it all with art work the way it is.

I mean, for crying out loud, this looks nothing like the enterprise D. It looks much more like Voyager: http://journeytotheinnerlight.com/outerlight/page4-4.php

Also I'm pretty sure geordi's stupid expression on that page was just copy and pasted and zoomed in for two panels. if that's not lazy then i don't know what is

i appreciate the effort for the most part though.

I tried asking about this @ TrekMovie tonight as a message in their chat section and within ten minutes, my question had been deleted. So I went to site feedback and posted a question asking why my legitimate question had been deleted, only to find THAT message deleted about 20 minutes later.

So... yeah. I guess they'd rather just pretend like it never happened, apparently.

    I actually love the art.
It has a surrealistic dream-like quality which really seems to fit the tone of the story.

I have been wondering what happened with this. I wonder if it is legal issues.

    It's still here:

but TrekMovie must have been asked to not promote an unlicensed product that is in seeming competition with the holder of the current exclusive TNG comics license, IDW.

Read the first part. Horrible art and at least decent writing. Not enough interest to look up the remaining chapters.

I am still enjoying the story and continue to look forward to see where it is going to go.

They still haven't fixed Chapter Four, Page 1, which comes up with an invading Borg Cube placeholder error page. Unless it's a page meant to show off the painting of a Borg Cube?

I emailed them about it a few weeks ago.

Totally agree. It's all over the map, putting one unnecessary "act break" twist after another just to build mystery.

The big gaps between chapters can't be helping interest either.

Just read through it. The story is all over the place, I though I had missed a part out at one point.

What was the point of this?

The Inner Light was a great self contained story, it didn't need this continuation.

I just read the six episodes I saw and was surprised to see that it's not finished. Guess I'll have to stay tuned then. I found the art to be fairly good. It wasn't as unusual as some of the comments here are making it out to be. As for the story, it didn't feel like something that needed to be told and it looked like it was turning into a technobable story, but it's getting interesting as of ep. 6.
