As a straight woman, I can say that I'd like to throw Loki down on a bed and do dirty, dirty things to him.

I'd do even better with Hawkeye...

I'm a big fan of Cobie Smulders. But that's because I'm not really into blondes, and I never really got on board the ScarJo train. There's better blondes out there, IMHO.

Ryan Reynolds, if I was forced to pick a dude.

I like blondes and am definitely a ScarJo fan... but thank you, I was wondering if somebody else was going to point out Cobie Smulders. Maybe in part because I wasn't expecting her, but man, I hope this version of Maria Hill becomes a fairly important character. ;)

While it's a close one, I think I'd have to go with Cobie Smulders mysefl. But it is a very, very close call.

Cobie Smulders sounds like a porn star name.

I figured out why Harry Dean Stanton was in the film. It was Whedon's nod to RED DAWN. What was Stanton's character's last line in the film? "AVENGE ME!"

Do I win at least a cookie for figuring that out?

A-

Very good movie. I still think I like Captain America best of all the Marvel superhero flicks, but this one is very high up there.

I was impressed that Whedon devoted so much time to "boring" dialogue and character development, in addition to the expected insane action sequences. I don't think the kid kicking my seat in the row behind me was quite as happy about it. Where's the Hulk when you really need him? :D

And as a bonus, I finally know how to pronounce "shawarma."

Glad I managed to remain unspoiled as to a: the "big death" and the "surprise baddie" at the end. Thanos! Can Warlock be far behind? (Answer: yes, very far. Oh well.)

I see this thread has moved on from reviews per se to sexually harassing the actors. I'll toss in my vote for Chris Evans. That guy is so gorgeous that he looks like a special effect. And despite being skeptical about anyone replacing Edward Norton, I was totally sold on Mark Ruffallo's more soulful and sweet take on Banner.

But Loki? Ugh! If you like the greazy-hair look, I guess. :rommie:

A closer look at some of the computer displays in "The Avengers" including a closer look at the HUD inside the Iron Man suit.
