Grimm (NBC) Season 1 Discussion *Spoilers!*

To be fair to Juliet, nick really started to get crazy excited about the wessen

That was quite a scene - they continued it for much longer than is usual for a TV show, just allowing Nick to ramble on and on without cutting away to something else in the usual ADD fashion of broadcast television. That's one thing I like about this show, that every so often they do something unusual that sort of breaks the rules.

I wonder if it's possible for humans to become Wessen? Is that where the came from - some witch hexed a cat that scratched them? ;)

Isn't that what they suggested happened to Adalind?

And right when I was starting to like Juliette, they make her not believe what Nick's saying. She's seen some weirdness already.

To be fair to her Nick was acting a bit too manic. If he acted a bit more calmly she may have believed him.

Looking at it from Nick's POV, he has been keeping this huge secret for most of a year so he had to have been relieved to finally be able to tell his fiancee. He just got...a little carried away.

As for why he didn't take her to Monroe first, he was probably hoping she'd believe his explanation about the trailer and its contents rather than freak her out with a werewolf.

Why was he manic?

i mean, consider all you blokes keeping your my little pony fetish secret from your wife.

How painful it is to keep that sick part of your life buried, and wouldn't it be such a relief to share this illness with her if you could just convince her that ponies are cool?

The faster she recoiled, the more desperate he became, the fasterer she recoiled, the more desperater he became, the more...

It's like a really powerful engine powered by disgust.

Hexenbeast and witch might be separate things.

I mean, was her magic or her hexenbeastishness stripped from her earlier in the season on both?

because in the final?

She was using "magic" or at least she could "make" a little poison.

Did someone else curse the cat, or has it a precursed cat she loaded up before nick stripped her of her powers?

Question: Have any good scoop about Grimm‘s second season? —Sue
Ausiello: Expect a Hooker cameo — T.J. Hooker, that is. We asked exec producer David Greenwalt to name his dream Season 2 guest star and, without hesitation, he replied, “Two words: Bill Shatner.” Playing who (or what?) exactly? “God only knows,” he shot back with a laugh. “Himself most likely!”

He should be a Wessen!

Agreed. That was a great scene, and the actors played it just right. The way Nick was going on about Grimms and Wesens and Hitler and poisons, any normal person is going to react just like Juliette did:

"Oh crap. My boyfriend is schizophrenic and/or having a psychotic break . . . ."

(Sorry for coming late to the party, btw. I only just got around to watching the last few eps.)

We could try it ourselves?

Take turns trying to convince our spouses and lovers that we are supernatural super heroes or timetravelling aliens or...

If anyone succeeds, sell your bunny before it's boiled.

"Honey, I'm actually the long-lost love child of Dr. Who and Catwoman. And the mailman? He's actually an alien god banished from the 8th dimension who is in cahoots with the UPS guy (who is really a half-elf, half-wendigo hybrid clone) to bring about the End of Days unless we spray the President with holy water by the Fourth of July . . . . hey, why are you looking at me that way? Don't you believe me?"
