Nick screwed over Hank honestly, He could have said he saw it too, but no, he lets his partner start to lose his mind. That was a jacked move honestly.

Loved seeing cultured Munroe (Rise and Fall of Roman Empire) with Beastly Munroe (Nice tumble with the bigfoots).

    What happened with Rosalee?

I watched episodes 17 and 18 last night...and NOW we are cookin' with gas, my friends!!!

Ep. 17 was good - finally got rid of the hexenbiest, and the parts about the magic/spells etc were interesting as it shows Nick getting more and more educated about the stuff he will clearly need to know. Also good that they are moving the storyline about the key forward here. Interesting that she didn't die though - only the creature possessing her died....

Ep. 18 was fabulous - maybe the best episode so far. We FINALLY get some backstory about the Grimms and their place in the universe or whatever...and we got a clearer picture of Big Bad as well. I guess there will be 'bad' Grimms in this story at some point, which is good. Clearly they are setting the stage for Nick to become involved in some epic battle of good & evil later on - in future seasons. I could easily see this taking sort of a B5 spin in future seasons - first fight the external Bad Guys to rid the universe of evil...and then clean house among the Grimms.

Juliet still fairly useless. Love Rosalee - too bad SHE is not the main cast female character as she is much more interesting than Juliet and probably has a very interesting backstory that could shed a lot of light.

Rosalie's becoming a regular next season. They probably didn't have the actress booked for more than her handful of appearances this season and didn't count on her popularity with the fans.

I remember Joy Mohr in his sitcom Action talking about how he casted Starlets in his movies by weighing the potency of his erection. Then he started this amazing diatribe about how Jane Fonda's exposed bosoms in Barabarella changed his life as a 13 year old.

Short of Jaime Ray Newman, Rosalee has been the most attractive woman in this show.

How do producers gage fanswelling these days?

    Emails,

    How plastic.

    Oh.

Focus groups staffed by daywalking drunks and soccer mums who also happen to be drunk in the mall.

    Right.

This was an easy show to get caught up on. I'm all caught up and ready for the finale. Should be interesting to see if either Juliet or Hank finds out the truth...or if anyone gets bumped off.

I haven't actually commented on this thread yet, but have been watching the show. Really good season finale - and really was not expecting it to end when it did. I've actually grown to like Juliette more as the season went along (like most, I liked Munroe, Renard, and Wu from the start and took quite awhile to warm to Nick but he came on strong; still on the fence about Hank and making Rosalee a regular was the best decision the show's made so far); hopefully she survives and gets to learn the truth.

    That may have been
one of the most brutal beatdowns handed to a hyped-up villain that I've seen in awhile. Nick's come a long way as a Grimm.

So Juliette gets to see "The Trailer Of Solitude". Too bad it won't stick. I have a feeling what Adalind did to her will bite Nick in the ass but she will end up clueless after.

So that makes two of my favorite shows on TV right now with the male leads finding their long-dead mothers, uttering the word "mom?" followed by a fade to black until next season.

The season finale was great, following up on a bunch of threads from the season. I wish it had been a two parter though--seems like they had plenty of material to work with that wouldn't have felt like filler. A few more details about the Chief, Kimura, Monroe and Rosalee trying to figure out what's going on, and Nick's mom's pursuit of Kimura would not have been bad additions.

As I mentioned after last week's episode, I'm glad the writers didn't completely forget Hank seeing a vessen turn back to human form and they obviously had a plan with that. I wonder if Hank's going to continue slowly (or not so slowly) losing his shit and becoming more and more paranoid and even psychotic. As others have noted, Nick is kind of a dick for not cluing him in and letting him think he's losing his mind.

The other question is whether Adalind got some of her beastie mojo back or if she's just solely out for revenge as a regular human now. I was thinking the writers would do a Whedon-nesque turn placing her in danger as a puny human with Nick coming to the rescue somehow, but keeping her as an antagonist out for revenge works too.

It was good to see all of the cast being used well this week, a trend I hope continues next season.

When Wu came across the Woman in black at the hotel I thought "I bet that's Nick's mother." It just seemed like a fairly obvious twist to do.

Anyone else think that Renard just may be a human and not a Wessen? If he was a Wessen he must have fantastic control to not at least show his true self for a second or two while tied up and tortured.

He made some comment about being associated with the Russian Royal family before most of them were executed.

He's at least a hundred years old.

The lad might need Wesen Viagra to get his freak on.

I don't think he's human, but I commented about his control right then, too. Knocked unconscious and still in control? Uh.....

And right when I was starting to like Juliette, they make her not believe what Nick's saying. She's seen some weirdness already.

Regardless, I really like this show! Nick has grown, and yes, that was one hell of a beat down he gave Kimura(?).

Was I imagining, or when Mom revealed herself a few times, her face shifted also. Mainly at the temples, but I could swear I saw a shift at least twice, gong into fighting mode at the hotel, coming out of it with Nick. Someone check me on that?

Fun episode, nice set up for next season.

I wonder if it's possible for humans to become Wessen? Is that where the came from - some witch hexed a cat that scratched them? ;)

    Ratings up 33% for finale!

Considering how Smash has err crashed in the ratings, that makes Grimm NBC's superstar among the freshman clash. Better luck next year, NBC. ;)

Really enjoyed the finale, although I also guessed that the woman in black would be Nick's mom, that's just exactly the kind of twists shows like to go for in the finale. I'm glad that Nick told Juliette, so I really hope she doesn't forget everything when she wakes up. I'm very curious to see exactly where they're headed with Hank, because he wasn't looking so good at the end there.
