Thoughts about a Khan character - What do you think?

So from what I've read, Khan is being portrayed in the next Star Trek movie, if the rumours are true. As great as Khan is and was, I am a little bit disappointed that they are going back to it, if in fact this is true. I'm sure they'll do a great job and all, so that's not my issue. What bothers me is the desire to see something new and fresh, meaning a new villain and a new adventure and a cast that stands out alone. It also kind of dawned on me with Spock prime coming back, are they trying to nurse, so to speak, this "new" cast that now have the reigns of the Star Trek saga similar to Star Trek Generations? Are they afraid to let this Trek stand alone, possibly due to some of the TNG movie failures? Either way I am excited to see what they come up with next and I am confident that this movie will be successful and good. What do you think?

Prime Spock, I am not expecting it to be a big role in this one, I think he'll probably be relegated to setting up New Vulcan.

Khan, I don't think we need to worry about a rehash, if they are using him, obviously it won't be a remake of TWoK, since Kirk hasn't stranded him, and therefore he doesn't have that burning fued Vengeance thing going. As some of has proposed, it could be that it's not even going to be the Enterprise that finds him, and that could change the story of Space Seed to being completely unrecognizable other than an Augment named Kahn
