Star Trek Voyager: The Eternal Tide by Kirsten Beyer

Well said. Kirsten has consistently demonstrated quality, contentious writing and an ear for characters. I give her the benefit of the doubt.

I think that is the bottom line and really should be the final word- Kristen Beyer has a proven track record with Voyager. Whatever she does, it is bound to hold to her standard of quality.

Or, as has been more eloquently stated, "This is Kristen F***'n Beyer!"

I understand resurrecting characters waters down the emotional impact of death. But whatever Beyer is up to, it is bound to be dynamic, emotionally charged, and a satisfying read.

I hate to be a pedant, but that's "Kristen Muthaf***'n Beyer!" !

;)

Ooooops, my bad.

I apologize for spelling your name wrong all this time, Kirsten Motherf***ing Beyer.

Evertime I read this, I think of Samuel L Motherf***ing Jackson.

"I am tired of these fuckin' tribbles on this motherfuckin' starship!"

I think that we should petition Kirsten to legally change her name.
And I always thought the definition of "dead" in Star Trek is when people did not want to write/script/film any more stories about/involving/referencing a particular character.

Has that ever happened? ;) ST tie-ins have a record of bringing back obscure bit players from canon unequalled by anything except Star Wars tie-ins. Heck, this month sees the release of my second novel built around two guest stars who had under four minutes of screen time.

Already? I didn't realize it was released this month. Thanks for the reminder!

I really think you need to write novels about more obscure characters ! Maybe some without names...

;)

Did Beyer bring back Janeway?

Yes, yes she did and all rejoiced for the chosen one had returned and Ms Beyer brought her back in such a way that both sides on the debate on whether she should return said sorry to each other and realized that debating ad nasium over her death and eventual return for the past four and a half years was pretty fucking pointless. ;)
