Theres a Variant 2 to Starfleet Prototype??

I'm not wild about tri-nacelle "dreadnought" type ships, but it would be interesting to see the Dahlgren rendered in 3D. Has anyone ever done that before?

Agreed and i too would like to red this version and the first Blue color cover copy of Starfleet Dynamics as i have the Gold on Black version at home :)

I had a boss at my first job find a copy of the even older "line officer requirements" "line officer requirements - supplement" and "staff officer requirements" manuals that served as the prototype for dynamics at a library used book sale. Knowing my love for trek, he picked them up for me... For five bucks.

That was an awesome day to go to work.

Cool Boss :)

Well, it wasn't expensive and he knew I would (have) paid him (more) for them (than he spent).

It was the height of my trek collectible spending, as I had an ok paying job and little expenses. I went a little nuts buying old trek tech works on the used market that year.

I've got both "Line" and "Staff Officer Requirements", but what exactly is in the "Supplement"?

I love the slanted looks--it makes for an aggressive stance. I'd love to see that on a Balson type big secondary hull and stantard refit nacelles--but with them being a tad longer.

Yeah, I agree. Like a further evolution or refinement of the Constitution type.

Not sure what you mean here?:)

i think there going to put whats in it there later

Indeed. Though it took longer to dig them out of storage than I thought it would. :alienblush:

Anyway, I have four books.

I have Line officer requirements and staff officer requirements these are listed as second printing, first editions, copyrighted 1987, and are volume one and two of a two volume set according to the covers. line is red and blue, staff is green and blue. Both say Updated star date 8760.00 on them.

I have line officer requirements supplement. it has a grey and blue cover. it has the same copyright page and date as the line and staff books mentioned above but it has Update Stardate 8870.00 on the cover.

I have a copy of Starfleet line officer requirements. the cover says fifth edition star date 8950.00, but the copyright page says it is a third edition, first printing, copyright 1988. THe cover is red, blue, and black and it lists it as volume one of a three book set.

So, today I picked up a new addition to the above list. I won a copy of "Star Fleet Officer Requirements" on ebay. It's the precursor to the Line/Staff books. Can't wait to get it in the mail this week. When I do, I will post a pic of the books together.
