"James Bond 23" officially slated for 2012!

And from the "making a mountain out of a molehill category":

(You can just read the URL if you don't want to go to the site.)

Of course this will get some folks up in arms, but if you consider that Bond has never exclusively drunk martinis it's not a big deal for him to swag beer for once. I remember him drinking champagne, fine wine, saki, etc. And on a couple occasions in both film and literature he's been told to lay off the shaken-not-stirred soda pop anyway.

The franchise survived Bond graduating out of the PPK, I'm sure the world won't come to an end if 007 drinks a Heiny. ;)

Actually, somebody totalled up the different drinks he has in the Fleming books and films, a couple of years ago, and came up with the fact that he's drunk about twice as much bourbon over the years than all the other types of alcohol he's had put together.

A bit like me, really...

And Fleming has it stated outright several times that bourbon is Bond's drink of choice. So, to hell with the Martini-lovers!

Also Heiniken has been a sponsor of James Bond as far back as "Tomorrow Never Dies"

Having Bond drink one is just one step further

Awesome news about the trailer, that was earlier than I expected. Regarding the spoiler that was posted above...hasn't that been discussed before? I didn't think it a new rumour.

That was a pretty good piece. For those of us following the production, nothing really new was revealed. However it was neat seeing some of the scenes being shot.

These two are very iconic. Bond and the Aston Martin could be compared to Batman and the Batmobile or even Knight Rider.

Looks great, but Bond is supposed to be perpetually around 40 years old. Daniel Craig looks like he's aging early, though he still looks awesome.

Also, he seems to be using a Walther PPK, yet again. Bond inexplicably switched back to the old gun last movie, and he seems to be keeping it. I understand it's iconic, and they are in fact still making modern versions of the gun, but I would have thought that a guy who gets in as many gunfights as this guy would carry something with a bit more kick, or at least more bullets. I miss the days when he carried around the P99. :)

Mark

Eh, he still looks younger than Roger Moore :)

As an aside, the Bond message board I post at has been so slow today because of all the people scoping out the new pictures. To Bond fans, this is like an early Christmas :D
