There is a bit of symmetry between that photo, the last of them for the series, and the last cast shot of them totally, from Nemesis which is on the cover of the last version of the TNG Companion.

Nice photos as always. That photoshoot of Robert Duncan Mcneill has been a goldmine. Dunno who took those photos but they caught some real gems.

My roommate and I were just discussing it, and he made some excellent points: It actually looks more like its from TVH.

Nimoy and Nichols' haircuts are from that film, as opposed to TSFS.

Also, the picture is flipped.

Also, George Takei should not wear shorts. It's not a great look.

You know, you're right. What's weird? Is that the photos came from a special on Star Trek III. Which is why I so labeled them. But I just checked filming dates, and TSFS filmed from August on and TVH from February, and Nimoy's birthday is late March. So it's impossible to be TSFS. Yet that's where the photos are claimed to be from!

It could be that there where two parties and someone presumed the photos where all from the same one, as I have other photos of Leonard cutting a cake with the Excelsior on it that specifically says Star Trek III or some such. That was likely a wrap party, and someone back in the day combined those photos with Star Trek IV Birthday photos.
