Wolf 359

Bry_Sinclair

Vice Admiral
Admiral
In the VOY episode where the Hirogen take control of Voyager and force them to enact the WW2 holodeck scenario, the Alpha says about trying out another simulation based on the Battle of Wolf 359.

Is it just me or would anyone else have prefered to have seen that programme, rather than yet another Nazi episode?

So have these Starfleet officers who fight the Borg a few times a season acting out a scenario where Starfleet officers fight the Borg, just on the holodeck?

What on Earth would be the point in that?

Seems obvious that the whole concept is to take them drastically out of their usual setting, rather than a recreation of another Starfleet ship fighting Voyager's current foe only eight years in the past.

From what we saw of Wolf 359, it was mostly a ship-to-ship massacre (with at least one ship getting boarded and assimilated, as per "Unity"), and not at all the short of hunt that the Hirogen would get off on.

The Borg would make deeply shitty prey. The Hirogen want cunning. The Borg are mindless space robo zombies.

Personally I'd have liked to have seen the Hirogen as Elmer Fudd hunting the crew as 'wabbits' in a classic Bugs Bunny holodeck program...

"Say.... You awn't that scwewy Wieutenant Tom Pawis, are you?"

"EHnyahhhh.... could BE!" (Paris kisses Hirogen on lips and runs off)

They could have got Pat and Avery on board for a couple days shooting.

Janeway as the Queen, seducing Picard till he's Locutus.

stuff.

They could have had that wild west scenario that Teacake yearns for... or Spalko's Pirate one.

Yes, because two Nazi episodes in 30 years is really pushing it.

No, showing Wolf 359 would not be a good thing. Less is more. Jaws. etc.

Hopefully Tom makes the right turn at Albuquerque...

A pirate scenario would have been really cool, especially seeing how each of the crew members would have fit into something like that.

This picture is gorgeous, by the way.:)

Would have been a huge improvement !

Am I the only one who groaned whenever they did the 'I've got a great idea to use some existing costumes on the old backlot' episodes ?

One of the great things about The Killing Game was the costumes. Everyone looked fantastic (except B'Elanna). It's a very sexy episode(s) unlike a lot of deeply embarrassing holodeck eps.

The only two episodes Roxanne didn't have to ridiculously hide her pregnancy with a magic labcoat and you stamp the girl unfuckable? I use such a an extreme word, since if you refer to a pregnant woman in real life as anything less than a beautiful princess, they will cut you when you're asleep. It's just not worth the scars to not lie.

Pregnant woman are beautiful.

I agree that pregnant women are beautiful. And, as you once pointed out to KingDaniel, they cannot run fast. All those wonderful attributes aside poor B'Elanna is in a very unfortunate smock that does nothing to accentuate a voluptuous pregnant belly or swelling breasts.

Because of the era, and because it was France, Janeway was at the least a madame and Seven under her (shut up. Stop smirking. under her. **Giggle**), would have been a prostitute in line with the whole cafe lounge club scene back then... For B'Elanna to be knocked up by a such a high ranking German, it would have been B'Elanna who was the star act and primary entertainer in this cabaret of Janeways... Which means that Seven was probably scrubbing tables day dreaming about her big break.

Seven filled a vacuum created by B'Elanna's fall form Grace.

Seven probably even stole B'Elannas wardrobe alone with her dressing room.

If the story had started 6 months earlier, B'Elanna would be be the star and Seven would have been all about Eve.

It's a long tradition stretching back to TOS so it didn't bother me at all.

Is that tattoo supposed to suggest that Kathryn and Chakotay have hooked up?

:guffaw:  :guffaw: :p :guffaw:  :guffaw:

Oh GAWD! I hope Spalko doesn't get wind of that suggestion, I think she'd have a COW!

The Tattoo is because she's a "pirate", not because of Chakotay ( I wish!)

Spalko's original drawing is here...

and she got so many requests regarding the tattoo we see peaking out from under the shirt she decided to "show us" what was under there.

IIRC... THIS is Spalko's preferred Janeway pairing...

Ahhh, to each his/her own.

;)
