Okay, so for this weeks contest the theme will be weird animals. I could have went with cats, but they are just too... ordinary... so lets go with the opposite! The weirder the better.

All animals are allowed, even the extinct ones, but keep in mind, general media is not.

The standard rules apply, under 150X150 and 140KB for gifs.

This is going to be tough. There are so many weird animals that I don't remember their names or can't pronounce them. I'll go with the Bird of Paradise, which made me laugh out loud when I had first seen it dance on the Planet Earth series.

I'd go with the Axolotl. It's one of the ones I had in mind, and plus, look at that smile!

Hmm, tough choice. I'd agree with Owain Taggart. Axolotls are all kinds of cool, and there's already an aye up-thread, and tarsiers are similar, so that might split the votes for you.

Whoever that is, he looks cheerful. As if his eyes light up at finally finding another like him. Finally, he is home.

The blobfish just looks miserable. The blobfish always looks miserable.

That blobfish looks like it's wearing a frown... Also, don't know why, but when I saw it, I immediately thought of the Vogon Captain in Hitchhiker's Guide.
